Proof? Also proof that his ownership is more than just a token shares based on family connection and is involved in any of the operations?

Slightly more relevant than the all the pizza implications is the smirk Murray Edwards must have after hiring away an employee of the Calgary based ownership group of the Coyotes.

Can't vote, don't have much info. Seems though like the Coyotes are getting worse on the ice, not better.

Why would I prove this when I never said it did or didn't?

I didn't know much about Treliving either except what I've read in this thread, but it sounds like a good hire. I'm happy that it wasn't one of the "old boys club". Also, it seems the media are giving praising which, like many others, I can't remember happening with a Flames move.
Hopefully he and Burke can work together and make the Flames a winner.

Don't really know if it was a good hiring I really don't know much about the guy if there was a third option in the poll for undecided, I would have probably picked that.

After listening to the presser, PHX was a class act the whole way. Big thanks to them.

agreed. Allowing your AGM to leave for another team 2 months prior to the draft without putting any restrictions on it is something that not every team would do. Thanks Yotes

I think having a good relationship with the NHL head office is an additional bonus.

I voted no, because I've yet to see the fruits of Treliving's labour with the Coyotes. And I gotta be honest, if the shoe was on the other foot and the Canucks or Oilers hired the guy, I'd be ripping on them for the unproven hire who's really lad lacklustre results in Phoenix. I'll be cautious about this hire. I wish the best for him, but I really wanted Burke to stay as GM.

Burke seems to have a lot of connections with people in other sports and not just a bunch of no names.
This management team with a young bright GM building a top young team is pretty damn exciting.
I loved his comment that he will not make trades so we get 3 more points in November or 1 more win, just to scratch in. We are building to win championships.

Didn't know much about him but I'm happy it wasn't a retread and after watching the press conference I'm pretty excited. Liked what I heard from him and Burke.

This.
Other than that, I have very little opinion on the guy. I'm not convinced hiring people is Burkies ( ) strength exactly, but at least he seemed very genuinely confident in his hire.
Totally superficial and irrelevant observations:
- Looks very much like a younger Brent Sutter. That makes me immediately suspicious.
- Those big ears look funny, especially when they get all red like they did there. Can't stop staring at them.
- I've never been a huge fan of the modern manager talk, with the overly verbose thanks and being all chummy with everyone.
+ The way he almost jumped out of his chair when Kirsten Hallet asked a question was pretty funny.
Speaking generally, I don't think there's much that predicts who will have success as a GM and who won't, at least looking from the outside as a fan.
As a non-superficial plus, he's a new, young guy brought from the outside, with plenty of experience considering his age. I like that part.
