No probably means now we'll have a blizzard, that's how the weather network seems to work

I'm the opposite. I washed my car on Sunday, and am hoping the rain holds off for another couple of days.

Well in Royal Oak definitely there will be a blizzard where the rest of Calgary might get the rain... that is what I've come to expect.

Black bins are the property of the city of Calgary, not the property of individual homeowners.
If you don't want me putting my dog's ##### in your bin, don't leave it out where I can get to it.

Does the city get deposit money back for the bottles that go in the blue bins. I thought they did. If so then I am annoyed at people stealing the bottles. if they just get shreaded then its okay by me.
I do think that you don't need the blue box program down town as the bum box program takes care of it

Seeing ads on the boards in the Montreal hockey game that have products not available in Canada. I'm looking at you, Verizon.

Kinda like the boards in any European country where the World Juniors are being played. Tim Horton's, Canadian Tire, Bell, Telus etc.

Or the Moxie's ads on the boards in Dallas when they're playing a Canadian team. Also, AGAT Labs in Phoenix.

When your dog walks against your xbox and accidentally shuts it off while you're in the middle of a game.

Does anybody know a BMW driver that isn't a ######bag? So far I haven't met any and would like my theory to be wrong!

Ha, good points about the hockey board advertising. But it still grinds my gears. AGAT Labs... they have been doing board ads in Calgary for as long as I can remember but I've never heard of them otherwise.

They do.
When blue boxes came out, they said that the money would be used to help fund the program.

Getting told I need surgery. Frick, I'm in my early 20's and already had 3 knee surgeries in the past year. Now I need surgery on my collarbone and it's a risky one at that. Awesome.....

1) Nothing's worse than when you're out with a group and one of the shlubs your with leaves early and doesn't cover their share of the tab. I'm not a penny pinching banker, but if you're ordering shots / food / drinks and the money you're leaving for the tab isn't within at least $30 of your bill, you might just be a world class #######. Seriously GFY. This isn't a game of hot potato where the earlier you leave the less you pay. Is it that hard to calculate what you're going to owe?
I had to cover like $200 on the weekend. It was with work colleagues. Embarrassing.
Next,
2) my profession is one which typically has the reputation where we abuse expense accounts. It drives me mental whenever I see or hear people taking advantage of their companies through expense accounts. To the point where I am sometimes eating stuff I easily could expense if I need to push it but always don't. Then I see engies (always greasy unethical engies) always abusing their accounts, bragging about it and then calling our profession out based on some ridiculously unfounded reputation which no longer exists. People who abuse expense accounts are no more above the guy robbing the 7-11, you are a thief and a jackass. Bragging about wasting your companies money on irrelevant BS is moronic. No you don't need a $500 lunch. And in a similar vein people who expect you to pay after they invite you on a business lunch and who choose ####ing Caesars as the location. Get bent.
Finally,
3) tough guys who are trying to get in a fight after drinking. Look if you're Bruce Banner and a beer makes you go Hulk just don't drink. Especially if you're a student, a fellow colleague on an internship and you're trying to fight work people. I mildly considered trying to ensure this person got fired but decided I was too lazy / not caring to follow through, just a mild GMG because his strip teasing attempt to fight (for some unknown reason he was removing his shirt) ended our night. It is sort of funny and I've twice seen him at work since the incident. I think he's fairly embarrassed, but little does he know so am I to have to work with him. What a moron.

It doesn't really GMG because I expect it but it is funny: consistent low-balling and ass-hattery by people on Kijiji. I listed a bed frame - nice, solid wood, used, but I put it up quite cheap. Yesterday:

Would you take 100 and be able to deliver it. I am in NE of the city which is in Abbeydale.
|
No, sorry guys, I'm not a charity service.
Incidentally one thing that does grind my gears about Kijiji is, why is it that everyone on there has to live in goddamn Narnia? No one's ever remotely central, it's either a-holeville 20 minutes past Dalhousie, or bumtown, southeast halfway to Okotoks.
