Yesterday I heard that WestJet is going to start retrofitting their 737's with the scimitar winglets as they go in for their heavy maintenance checks.

Work will be done at Kelowna. Conflicting reports on if it's just the -800 getting them.
Also, an Air Canada 787 has finally flown. Fin 701 went for a quick spin around Puget Sound yesterday.

I heard KFC and their other maintenance shop in Ontario, my source wasn't clear on if it was only the 738's though.
As for AC's first 787, that flight went much shorter than planned. About 7 minutes and a return to Everett instead of the filed plan to Moses Lake. More issues?

As per the info in that article I too have heard that this pilot actually kept his aircraft parked at the parking area of Calaway and has always used the parking lot to take off and land. Crazy, had no idea someone was doing this.

WestJet 737 being pushed back in Orlando bumps into a JetBlue bird and damages its winglet. Southwest lends them a spare:
Here was the damage (taken from the JetBlue flight)

I'd really love for WestJet to take off that #100 sticker. It's so unattractive.

I have to ask, how do they attach the winglet onto the wing?
