We don't even know what he is, really. He's a young leader on his team who obviously has a temper and is one of the "stars" of the DEL. Outside of that and his stat line, he could be anything.

Bringing the Wolf over is like buying penny stocks. You never expect a return on your investment, but you hope somehow it brings you a return more than you put into it, and maybe, just maybe it somehow strikes it rich. That is why I see the flames being interested in him. Little cost, unknown but possibly decent return on investment.

I don't really see the point of knocking Wolf down on his ceiling. We all know he is more than likely going to top-off as a 4th liner in the NHL (3rd MAYBE if his physical powerforward game translates exceedingly well in the NHL).
If he bombs, he can go to the AHL, and if not, he can head back to Europe. I am all for signing cheap complimentary players that fit a team need at the moment. Best time to try out guys is in the midst of a rebuild I would think. It has next to zero risk (absolutely zero risk when you factor that Calgary is not going to be a cap team next season, so I can't think of any further downsides).

There's no harm in this. Maybe he sucks... maybe he spends the year in the AHL. But maybe he's Lance Bouma with more fighting ability. It a one year entry level contract. If it doesn't work out... he can go back to Germany next year and life will go on.

I don't think "Lifetime Suspension" is a custom user title. The closest I've seen is ResAlien, who had "Lifetime in Suspension". Though there was a smartass on another forum who picked "Banned" as such. The difference being he could pick it himself on that website whereas on CP you need to get clearance by the mods. And I doubt they would allow that to be used.

My guess is it's real as his avatar is gone as well. I wonder what thread he was posting in where things got out of hand. I bet it would be an interesting read.

Little tidbit on Wolf. From his facebook page, take it for what it's worth.

Falls ja werden in den nächsten Tagen noch Bilder folgen.

Hahaha, that is so awesome.
He should sell a baby crib, I wonder if the fans would burn it. Are Hamburgers like Edmontonians?

That wasn't great, but wasn't it the Thread about black players taking more heat than other players? He said much worse in there. I can't confirm but I'm pretty sure.

He was throwing the N-word around a bit in that thread. I don't think the mods would have appreciated that.
You know, it was weird: his posting in his last few days was way more erratic than usual. It's like he was hitting the crack pipe a bit harder than usual, or maybe his little bro was using his account. I know moon loved playing Devil's Advocate, but usually there was some sense in his arguments. The last few days he was saying some whacked out stuff. R.I.P. moon.

Whatever the case, I'm glad Moon's stay is over. The bad far outweighed the good.

In the end, he's a Flames fan and a person.
I hope you're doing alright there Moon.

I wonder if this rumour is still going around now that Treliving has taken over. Can anyone shed some new light on this, or is it dead in the water now?
