Wow, that barely squeezed through Crawford, what a finish. The Hawks aren't in trouble until they lose at home though. This could still go 7.

I think Backes is done for the series, so I think Seabrook will suspended.

Is there a way both teams can lose this series?

If Chicago wins at home and the winning team is too roughed up / spent to survive much longer I guess.

One of the panel members hit it on the head, I think. The Hawks are playing arrogant.

If the Hawks can win game 3 I think they are in good shape. One more loss and its curtains.

Well down 2-0 but both games were in St. louis so Chicago still has a good chance.

I think Hitchcock is a great coach and am amazed what he has done in St. Louis without any top line forwards but Backes and Lapierre are such d-bags hard to cheer for them.

Chicago deserved at least one if not both games so they should still be fine to come back and win the series but again tough to see one of these two teams out in the first round. Injuries or not one of them should have easily finished ahead of Colorado.

One series in the west will be harder on these teams than all the series combined for the eastern conference champion

I can't cheer for any team that employs Lapierre, can't do it.

Ott too.

I'm hoping St Louis wins the series, but is just too injured/tired to last much longer.

Great to se that arrogant collection of ######bags lose the first two games of the series. Not much chance they can come back now. Even better that Seabrook's garbage was a turning point in the game.

I don't think there's been a more arrogant rise to success than the Blackhawks, this series looks good on them so far.

I still don't see how that was a dirty hit. Its the playoffs gotta keep your head up. It was a headshot but I don't think there was intent to injure.

Sorry, but you need to play a bit dirty in the west to make it far in the playoffs. All the top teams have a few dirty players, and have won in the past few years with the same style of play. If the Flames want to compete against the Ducks, Kings, Blackhawks, and Blues we're going to need to add the same sort of grit (or dirt) to the team. These teams hate each other, and that's what makes these series so great.

Every team has it's hateful/dirty/players that play on the line. St.Louis with Lapierre, Ott, Backes. Boston with Lucic, Chara, Marchand. Chicago with Kane, Seabrook/their whole team. LA with Brown. Anaheim with Perry.

2 cups in 4 years, Chicago knows a thing or two about winning. I wouldn't say no chance just an uphill battle.

You answered it yourself, it was a headshot. Intent or not, it was a straight hit to the head. Backes didn't even have the puck as it was sitting beside him. Seabrook might have thought Backes was going to get the puck but he didn't have it. Dirty hit and the 5 and a game was the right call.

In terms of a suspension, I don't think Seabrook has been suspended before. I could see him getting a game or two.

I agree mostly, it was ultimately a hit to the head but probably got called because of the result more than the hit itself.

However, the NHL might still suspend him based on if Backes is out or not.

They rolled the canucks after Vancouver had a 3-0 lead.

They beat the Flames, down by 5 goals in the third period.

This hawks team comes back all the time. They are the new Detroit when it comes to 'flipping the switch'.

That, to me, is a clear hit to the head, and should be a suspension.

This series basically is a loss for both teams. I cant see whoever comes out of this series going very far afterwards.
