Back on topic, I really like the Button report on the last page because it wasn't over the top. It seems every year has ten future superstars to draft from if you go by some of the scouting reports. I prefer the more grounded reports much more then the over the top "elite level" this, or "jaw dropping" that.

I think Monahan would benefit from playing alongside Lucic-type forward but that's just my opinion.
On the sidenote... before Ferland got injured I really wanted to see Baertschi-Monahan-Ferland line playing for the Flames at least in one game and I'm still hoping that Ferland will come back in Bouma style.
In fact, Poirier and Ferland are the only true power forward prospects in our system and we'll desperately need the injection of grit to our top 6 to compensate for that Gaudreau/Byron/Grandlund/Baertschi/Hudler smallness. But taking Ritchie at #4 ... man that's a tough decision.
Too bad we don't have another pick in 6-10 range because picking the highly skilled guy in Bennett/Reinhart/Dal Colle plus the powerward in Virtanen/Ritchie would be awesome.

They need to send our future line of Gaudreau Monahan Colborne off to Gary Roberts this summer but that isn't likely to happen for Monahan and Gaudreau due to going to the Worlds.
Ship Colborne off though he needs MSL legs.
