Does the reserve still have a dump?
Years ago they did and it was cheap. You just had to be careful you didn't back over any kids when dumping.

The landfill at Tsuu T’ina Nation — the site of a spontaneous combustion that coated the reserve and southwest Calgary in smoke earlier this month — has been closed.
Nation Chief Sandford Big Plume said in a statement Wednesday night the decision to temporarily shut down was made to allow environmental reports to come in.
Big Plume said the landfill is fully permitted by Indian Affairs and Northern Development, but the renewal of the permit was delayed at the time of the fire. He said it is strictly a procedural issue.
“Contrary to some reports, no toxic materials were allowed at the site,” Big Plume said.
Big Plume also took a swipe at the city government, saying he would have gladly presented this information during a recent town hall meeting had he been invited.

People that say things like "Why do all milestone goals get scored against the Flames?"
There are a ton of "milestone" goals as pretty much everything that could be a statistic now is, they are on hand to the announcers more then ever now with access to the internet, and announcers are constantly looking for something to say.
Overall though I would guess all milestone goals are spread somewhat evenly across all teams (or around equal to each teams GA avg.) Milestone goals that go against the Flames just stand out a little more because 1) You probably watch a lot more Flames games than other teams and 2) They stand out a lot more as they sort of sting instead of just a passing thought of "oh cool good for that player"

This lady about 5 seconds later (after I had stopped) screamed at the top of her lungs STOP! and hugged her child... Like C'mon, give me a friggen break... You are obviously a idiot because you are probably on your phone and not paying attention to where you are bloody walking... Besides I could not see you beside that massive Escalade that was beside me... And even then, I had stopped before you yelled... Then after the vehicles had cleared the roadway, I had waited for her to walk behind me, but like that dumb moron that she was, she just stood there giving me the evil look at death. The entire 30 seconds it took me to back out she just stood there staring at me, I swear if she did not have her daughter there I would of lost it on her!!!
GRAB A FRIGGEN BRAIN WOMAN, You are not "invincible" because you are a bloody pedestrian. It is a two way street you idiot, you have to pay attention as much as the driver does.

This is more or less the exact reason why I back into every parking stall. I know there is no one behind me when I back in, I have a clear view when it comes time to leave. I have taken several driving courses due to the nature of my work (oilfield) and they have all taught me that it is safest to park your vehicle so that your first move is forward.
To be honest I can never really understand how people can back out of a parking stall blind. Half the vehicles in Calgary are huge trucks or SUVs so the chance or parking next to a "massive escalade" are fairly high. Essentially every time you back up without being able to see you are just relying on luck that you don't strike a pedestrian or get smoked by the dumba$$ flying down the parking aisle at 30km/hr on his phone.
I guess what grinds my gears is people that complain about stuff, but seemingly do nothing to avoid putting themselves in the position in the first place.

This. Not trying to say that the other guy parked like an idiot...the "over-enthusiastic" (to put it politely) mom he encountered was the idiot in that situation. In fact, if he had parked in reverse, the outcome would have probably been the same. Chances are the mom in question saw his reverse lights and assumed that he was about to floor it while backing out of the parking stall.
And I don't understand why some people are against doing this. I might just be weird, but I find it much easier to park my car in reverse than it is to turn into a parking space going forwards. But I get flak from family/friends all the time, like "Oh, here he goes AGAINNNNN, reversing into the parking spot. Why don't you just park it forwards??"
Umm...ORRRR...why don't I make it easier on myself by parking in reverse, so that when I leave, I have a full view of whats coming, and so I can DRIVE FORWARDS out of the parking space?
I can't count the number of times that I've had to back out of a parking space while being next to a "massive Escalade" or other large truck/SUV. Most people who own a vehicle of that size are zombies who have less ability to park their boat than a chimpanzee who's high on cocaine. So I'm already driving blind in reverse, not to mention the door ding I have from your stupid parking job. Then you get another above-mentioned zombie who's barreling down the aisle in their truck at 50km/h, talking on their cell phone. I don't see them until they trigger a heart attack while speeding by my car, and if I'm not backing out at a snail's pace, I'm going to get T-boned by them.
Stupid zombies.

Celebrated Square Root Day
|
People around the office who always say "my OCD" in reference to little things, when it's people who don't actually have OCD. Is that a common saying these days, or just stupid people at my company?
It seems everyone says it, and it's so annoying.
"Oh haha that extra line hurts my OCD".
"Oh, you have OCD?"
"lol, no, it's just a saying".
"okay, but OCD is a disorder, and it sounds ridiculous to call something "your OCD" unless if have OCD".

Crushing day today. A cousin I've known my whole life, his whole life, is dead. I didn't know where else to post it. 3 babies no longer have a Dad.

People who bring the child of a public figure into the GMG thread. She's a kid and didn't choose for her mother to be premier, so that's totally offside. And I'm not sure why she would grind anyone's gears anyway.

Absolutely idiotic to drag a 14 year old girl into the mess that her mother has created.
That picture should be taken down before any further genius level comments are posted, and the earlier comments edited by the posters.
C'mon CP, we're better than this. Leave this sort of nonsense to Canuck fans.

If the mods have an issue with it, they can delete it. Its a photo that's available in the public domain. Her daughter is in the news as recently as of today.
Perhaps it GYG that the media ''dragged'' her into this?

I'll be going to a doctor soon. I'm experiancing bad pain all over but mostly in my head. I'll get tingly and numb feeling throughout my face (mostly in my nose) and right now it feels like my rib cage is burning. I've been having these symptoms on and off over the last few months but now it's gotten worse. I looked up my symptoms online and they mostly point towards MS. I sure hope i'm wrong.

Doubtful it is MS. Let me guess. Examination time ?? Stress can do all kinds of things to the body.
