I had something for this, but thought better of it. It went somewhere along the lines of PM's and filling her inbox.
I guess that pretty much explains it. I'll show myself out.

Great to see Gaudreau score in his debut (and set up a few other nice plays as well).
Arnold looked like he fit right in as well and wasn't afraid to get into the scrums.
Gaudreau's highlight reels speak for themselves and he deserves the recognition he gets for them, but I think Arnold has the potential to be core player as well. He interviews really well... sounds like a great leader.

From a Flames' alumni perspective, Gaudreau reminded me of Makarov the most.

I'd say Hakan Loob with an extra gear.

At about the 5:30 mark Cammalleri speaks about the arrival of both Gaudreau and Arnold. Speaks about going up to them and talking to them during practice. The Michigan Alum in Cammalleri had a good little shot at the two BC alum as well. Apparently Arnold and Gaudreau took a wrong turn when they arrived at the arena intially and walked all the way around. Cammalleri responds with "Well... they went to BC not Michigan, right? So I don't know how smart they are" Tongue firmly in cheek of course.
Just after that Cammalleri challenges Roger Millions assessment that Gaudreau has to change his body type. Says Gaudreau is so quick and elusive that he wouldn't want to see him put on 30 pounds and be a different player.

Cammalleri does great interviews. You never get the standard cliches with this guy. Very thoughtful and articulate. He's one of the most intelligent guys in the game. He is smart enough to know that if he stays, he could be burying a lot of Johnny's saucer passes on the power play in the next few years.

I had the honour of seeing Makarov's first NHL game – Flames 10, Detroit 7. (!) I remember one play especially:
Makarov is coming up the right wing boards, and a Wing (I forget who) lines him up to check him hard into the glass. Makarov, seeing the guy coming, lets go of the puck and puts on a little burst of speed. The Red Wing crashes into the boards and knocks himself silly. Then Makarov stops and reverses on a dime, skates back, picks up the puck and circles round to continue the play.
In effect, he evaded a check by making a drop pass to himself.
Gaudreau isn't that wily yet, but from what I saw of him in traffic against the Canucks, he's got the agility to make those kinds of moves. He looks like a pickpocket out there, which I expected. What I didn't expect is how effective he was without the puck. IIRC he had one takeaway on the forecheck, and it was a thing of beauty.
Because of Gaudreau, a lot of guys are going to be skating around with baffled looks on their faces next year, like a guy who can't find his car keys. 'Where's the puck? I know I had it with me when I came into the zone.'

I laughed when I read this. Next year every time Gaudreau has the puck Rob Kerr is going to be yelling out "Where is it?"

Wish we could've got to see Cammalleri play with Gaudreau for a bit last night to see what Johnny could do with a guy who has some finish. It would be nice to have him stick around to see how that experiment could go, but I won't be upset if in the end Cammy wants to go chase a cup elsewhere.
