I'll be happy with either result for obvious reasons

I want a regulation win. Tieing the nucks in points will put the Icing on their dreadful season.

Win but a SO loss would be perfect. Means you lost the skills competition but still had a good showing.

You do realize these aren't literally 4 point games right?

I'll take the loss. Sorry.

Loss in the skills competition. Which is really only like a "counts as" loss. I'm a lot more comfortable sitting in 4th than in 5th, especially if someone below us wins the lotto and pushes us down.

Just send out McGrattan, Westgarth and Butler if it goes to SO.

Look at the difference between 4th and 5th, not much, it's really a toss up who should go first, DalColle or Draisaitl?

Leon Draisaitl C/LW

Big man size – Every team could use a big centre with elite skills. Although, he is not a hitter per say, he has that big man swagger about him.

Hockey sense – Leon reads the play well and immediately acts on that read.

Soft hands – Leon can be the scorer or the set up guy – he has those soft hands that makes the puck do what he wants it to do. They call him “The German Gretzky”.

Potential growth – As good as he is now, a few more improvements in his skating, a little more physicality and this guy could be close to unstoppable. Top five in my books but a team betting on those improvements could take him much higher.

Michael DalColle C/LW

Size – The first thing you notice about Michael is that he has that NHL frame that every team is looking for. Although he has yet to fill out at 179 lb., the basis of a big NHL forward is there.

Scorer – Micheal has one if not the highest skillset for scorers in the draft. Size, creativity, elusiveness, puck protection, stickhandling, battling – Michael is your man.

Power forward – You hear the phrase “power forward” a lot when you hear what each team needs in the draft. Micheal is not yet that power forward due to strength considerations but he will be in the near future. NHL teams are drafting for the future so I would be very surprised if Micheal didn’t go in the top five; how high is still up to him.

Is it worth the guy all our scouts wanted to draft going 1 pick before us?
I dont think so. Im satisfied with the brawl, and us de-railing their season.

Give me the 4th best odds at the lotto please!
Lets lose tonight.

There is a slight possibility one of Ekblad, Bennet, or Reinhart end up fourth. So this is probably one of the only times I won't be mad at a loss. Not going to cheer when the Canucks score but a loss is much more beneficial to us in this position.

Hope Gaudreau scores 3 and we lose 4-3.

For some reason I thought they were two points up.

Regardless, I can't cheer for the team to lose. Especially against the Canucks.

I'm 99% sure we wont take Draisatl. He is a big center but plays soft. I think he has amazing skill though and would be happy with him.

Its Ritchie or Dal Colle if we pick 5th. Both play like bulls.

Sorry but the chance to finish the season with more wins than Vancouver is way better than getting a 4th pick over a 5th in a weak draft. I cringe when people say they cheer for a loss. It's embarrassing to our fanbase.

Cheering for the long-term win tonight.

But either way, hoping for a nice solid game from Gaudreau and Arnold. Doesn't have to be spectacular...but it would be nice to get a moment or two of promise.

The way I'm looking at it tonight, I just want Arnold and Gaudreau to get points and by wanting the nucks to win, I'm really cheering for 4th pick.
That and I lived in Vancouver for 8 years, I don't hate them THAT much.

As long as it's a good game, I'm good either way. Obviously I'm slightly biased to us winning, but at this point in the season it's really not a big deal.

I also don't think the one spot in the draft matters that much.

Then again, it would be pretty funny if after the Oilers season of misery, heartbreak and tanking and our season of cheer, optimism and truculence all they'd get to make up for it was one lousy spot in the draft

Relax, it might be a weak draft but there are still some ridiculously good hockey players in the top 5.

And why cringe? It's not cheering for a loss, it's just accepting a loss.

game 82 in a 82 game season makes absolutely zero difference when you are one of the worst teams in the NHL. I hate when people are happy or "cheer" for a loss in January or February but some are delusional if they think this final game in April matters.
