Seriously. Lightning would have to strike like 3 times in the same place for Brian Burke to have his CHOICE of Ekblad or Reinhart without winning the lottery, or trading up.

So who do the Flames send to be their representative on TSN's draft lottery show?

Last year the top 5 teams that had a chance at winning the lottery all had somebody there.

Burke doesn't want anything to do with Draisaitl. Basically said so a couple weeks back

Burke has said previously he doesn't like Draitsaitl so it probably won't be him. Also there has been a lot of speculation on the board that Burke might even go a little off the board and take Ritchie because he fights/hits more than Dal Colle even though they are pretty close in size and Dal Colle is more skilled offensively. (assuming the Sams are gone)

All I hope is that regardless of who we pick, it is because our scouting staff rated him highest. GMs and owners start overruling scouting at the draft based on limited viewings and their guts because they think they know better, bad things happen. Trust the guys you pay to do the job who know junior/college and spend their whole year evaluating these guys.

Just read last week that Dal Colle was a centre his whole playing career until junior, because his team was stacked at C when he arrived. Wonder if he might get a chance to be converted back next year? Seems to have the size skating and puckhandling to play well there.

I just don't want Ritchie, any of the top 5 I'll be ok with at this point. With hopes that we get 4th and things to crazy and we get a Reinhart or Bennett.

You may well be right. If Ehlers was 6' tall instead of 5' 11" he could be the 4th pick.
