Sorry didn't notice. They were all moving pretty fast out there. Tough enough just to keep my eye on Johnny.

Had to go back to work. Streaming a Web show on Quinn if anyone is interested.????

This is why we all should be crossing our fingers and praying to whatever God you believe in that Michael Ferland turns into what we all hope he can.

With Ferland, you've got the size, skill, and tough, a-hole attitude that would complement Gaudreau so so so nicely. You got Ferland out there with Johnny, who's going to mess with him? They'll get their face rearranged.

There's no one else in the system like this.

That line would be super fast, but severely lacking size on the wings...

I think they'll put one of the vets with them.

Curious to see if they consider reuniting Johnny and Monahan. But sounds like they're keeping Billy and Johnny together for this game.

Edit: Byron it is, then. Going for speed and skill on one line.

@AAVickers: Van Brabant-Galiardi-Agostino looks to be the odd-line out.

Gaudreau on the opposite wing of Byron. Would be hilarious to watch unfold.

Thankfully it's the Canucks. I could see Kassian trying to act strong though. As much as fighting annoys me, I wouldn't mind seeing McGrattan punching him out.

@AAVickers: So Gaudreau and Arnold will start with Byron flanking them on the wing, it looks like. #Flames

Arnold sounds like he has a good amount of grit. I could see him stepping in if someone tries to mess with Johnny.

Looks like Brodie will still be in the lineup tomorrow.

@NHLFlames: Curious about who @BillDaHurricane and @johngaudreau03 might be playing with tomorrow? Projected lines ~ http://t.co/Ki6p15je80 #CGYVAN

Agreed. Ferland is probably our most hard nosed prospect and one of the best fighters in junior the I've ever seen, who just happens to have a ton of skill, too. Hoping for big things from him next season. Closest thing we've got to a Lucic-type coming up through the ranks.

Yeah he's a big fella and Johnny's one of his best friends. Would still feel better with McGrats on that RW though.

@SUNGilbertson: If #Flames D TJ Brodie can't go tomorrow, looks like D Mark Cundari gets a shot to skate with captain Mark Giordano.

That sounds like a generalization. Everyone is different. + NCAA players play about 2 games per week, so theres plenty of time to rest up and have a caloric surplus and gain whatever weight back you lost in practices / games.

I think JG has to be atleast 160 by now. He was talking all development camp about his plans to get bigger and iirc at the camp he was around 160. I would be disappointed if he is the same weight.

But I agree with you, it wont stop him from playing at this level. To touch on the point you made about elusiveness - I found a quote from the Union head coach about Johny that makes me think he actually thrives off bigger, slower guys trying to go for big hits, or being very physical on him. What he lacks in strength - he has in agility, foot speed and skill.

"“[You] try to finish your hits on him but you can’t be too aggressive or you’ll look foolish,” said Union head coach Rick Bennett, who’s Dutchmen defeated Boston College in Thursday’s Frozen Four semifinal."

Johnny the matador.

Default Flames sign Gaudreau and Arnold. Will be available for Sunday's game against...

@RogMillions: @RealSeanSmith actually saw Gaudreau today..he is 5'9" proof positive.

@JoeMeloni: If Gaudreau plays with Byron, he won't be the shortest person on his line for the first time since youth hockey, I think.
