Lithuanian community in Wasaga Beach? Is that how they're spinning it? It's the Toronto equivalent of Daytona Beach. Let's face it, he was out there for poon.
But now falling to the 4th seed might not be so awful as Miami appears to be trying to get the #2 to avoid Brooklyn in the 2nd round. Oddly the Raptors are 2-2 against Brooklyn and Chicago, but 0-3 against Charlotte.

Raps pretty well control their own destiny. Their last few games are all winnable.
Very bad loss though. I know the Knicks are desperate, but they also aren't very good. Raptors had a road the ECF with the 3 seed. Now they might be out in the first round against Brooklyn, who I think is going to be the toughest out in the East besides Miami.

I really wanted the third seed and it'll take an unlikely Chicago loss to open the door for that, but that shouldn't overshadow the fact that the division-title is a significant achievement, especially since they had to withstand Brooklyn winning at a ferocious clip since January.
I still like Toronto beating Brooklyn in a playoff series between the two with Toronto having home-court advantage, though it's probably a 7-game series. It's not as nice a matchup as Washington would have been, but Brooklyn is a great home team and lousy road team (beyond their inexplicable ability to beat Miami).

Club record 48th win for the Raps tonight! Never would have thought this team would have that record, but good on all of them...they really look and feel like a TEAM. I think they might do some damage in the playoffs if they stay healthy.

It's a feel good moment for a franchise that has been such a joke. Finally!!!!
But damage in the playoffs? I could see them beating Washington if they can win that last game against the Knicks. Otherwise I can see a quick exit against the Nets.
They have zero playoff experience as a team though some of the players bring some playoff history with them. They are going to have trouble on the boards when the intensity level goes up.
We will see just how far chemistry can take a team. It would almost be alright if they lost that final game and then beat the Nets in the first round. That would be a memorable win taking out a team with playoff experience galore.
I don't know that they are ready to do any damage but the experience should be nothing but beneficial for the team. Especially for Val and Ross.
The Nets are far more dangerous than the 1 man show Wizards. Their destiny is in their hand and all they have to do is to beat the nothing to play for Knicks on Wednesday.
Just checked that the Knicks is on a roadtrip to Brooklyn tonight. The Raps should be able to handle them tomorrow night on their second night of a back to back.

Yeah, I like the Wizards matchup better. Ross has done a fantastic job on Beal during their matchups, holding him well below his season average. Wall will get his points, but the Raptors are one of the few teams with a backcourt that can consistently outscore Washington's. Gortat was a force in the pick-and-roll last time these two played, and Valanciunas still struggles with P&R defence. Gortat is really the only guy on the Wizards that I really fear tipping the series in their favour. It would be a really interesting series for Valanciunas; statistically he hasn't done great against Washington, and he doesn't need to put up big numbers for the Raptors to win but he does need to guard Gortat well.
A 2nd round matchup with Miami would be insane. If the Canadiens are out of the playoffs by that point, the Raptors would have the full national sports attention. All this for a team that could have had 60 losses instead. What a year for the Raptors, definitely my favorite year since 00-01, and even this year seems more fun.
I think they win any matchup except if they get Brooklyn. Do not like their chances against Brooklyn who is peaking at the right time. Like them in 6 or less against either Charlotte or Washington.
