Unless there's some dumb reference that I'm missing out on..

He is one of the most outshot players in the entire NHL.

For Sunday, I think they'll keep Johnny and Bill together since they already have such great chemistry from the season together. Agostino is close to Kevin Hayes in size, so I'd put him on the other wing with them and let them treat the Nucks like they did the University of Denver two weeks ago.
There's a part of me that also wants to see a Cammalleri-Byron-Gaudreau shift at least once.
For next season, Monahan and Colborne would be good potential linemates for Gaudreau.

Stats don't tell the story. Over these last few weeks the tough guys have been playing pretty decently, at the very least not being defensive liabilities when they're out on the ice.
Who did we start the 4th line on that kept their starting lineup hemmed in their zone the first shift? Think it was NJ. Anyway try not to be so much of a stat monkey.

I see him with Glencross. Veteran. Great shot and super fast. Also able to send a message if someone gets out of line.
Problem is they are both LW

I see him with Arnold and Ferland on a pretty dangerous line in Abby for the first half of the season or longer. We dont need to "Oiler" him and hand him a spot in the top 6 next year. He is making a big jump and will likely need to get his feet wet in the minors.

Poirier on the right with him. Arnold or Granlund in the middle or Monahan if he's in the NHL.

On Sunday I think he plays with Arnold and maybe Agostino? Maybe Arnold goes to RW and they play on Stajans wing? I could also see Grats pr Bouma playing with them tomorrow

Renamed the thread so we can talk about both this Sunday and next year.

I assume we'll get a PP tomorrow, so that's probably the best shot for magic this year.
Going forward, who knows.
Tomorrow, I predict a Gaudreau-Monahan-McGrattan tandem.

I see him on a line with someone like Bouma or Ferland going forward. Not necessarily a heavy, just someone with grit, push back and the ability to fight the middle weight guys. On Sunday he likely gets one of McGrattan or Westgarth riding shotgun.

IMO they are similar type players who both want the puck and to set up the play . I don't see them working well together.
The great thing about him with Monahan is that Monahan has the great release and is smart enough to get into the right places where a guy like Gaudreau can find him

Yes...I would put him with McGrattan tomorrow. I seem to recall at some point he told Sven he could do what he wants and he'll deal with anyone who touches him. I suspect the Canucks will be getting the same message tomorrow.
