I don't get how anyone could hate EAP? There's nothing particularly polarizing about it? It's my favourite building downtown, even more now with her twin done.

Calgary has a nice skyline...but
It seems kind of silly that things like townhouses are built downtown and parkades and parking lots are so a plenty.

I feel like your post has about 6 or 7 different thoughts crammed into 3 sentences or so, none of which are connected or make a lot of sense.
Just pretty much a random assortment of mashed idea sloppily spilled into a post with no coherent point.

I see you deleted your post Violator, and now I kinda feel like a dick. Sorry man.

Haha, that tall building is Devon Energy centre. I'd trade our Devon building (Canterra) for that one!

Not a chance. I much prefer Canterra over that building.

That building is taller than anything in Calgary. I'd definitely take it.
It's also significantly nicer than Canterra inside. It is sort of weird how it can't decide if it's a suburban office park though. It's a 2 block long development, and they are basically trying to compensate for the lack of downtown amenities by having them all in the one development.

Apparently the external granite panels on Canterra Tower were all imported from Italy in the early 90's when it was built.
That would be WAAAAYYYY too much money for most developers these days to do...

Yeah, I'd take it any day of the week. It looks like a fairly nice project over all.
Funny how before that addition, a place like Regina (with probably a 5th of the population) would've been able to take it on, and perhaps even beat it, in terms of skyline and overall downtown development.

I loved the newer buildings in London. The shard is a fave of mine. Especially when lit up at night.

We have enough hexagonal granite 90's looking designs around. I've always been disappointed with how unimaginative Livingston is, being a project from 2005 that looks like it's from 1995. Thanks Gibbs Gage.

Add me to the list that would take the Devon tower in OKC here in Calgary any day.

If we were to have it here, it could lose the massive podium.
(Except maybe for our stupid FAR laws... damn it FAR 20, I want FAR 50!)
