I'm not having it. Guardiolas teams always pull the ref intimidation shiv. All the time.

Well once Bayern got going they showed how good they can be, hopefully they come out playing like that in the next round, since the tika taka has been so ineffective.

Great to see Robben ice it since so many seem to dislike him so strongly (which is fair). At least he didn't have any real dives at all in the two legs.

Tip my hat to United. They gave it a good go. Jones especially. Rooney on the other hand, diving disgrace to the sport

I think 2 of them being racists makes them bigger twats but that might just be me.

Anyways, good on United for at least making it interesting, thought Bayern would win by 5 goals over the two legs.

Theyb were amazing. They fought like lions! Fire no one. Change nothing. Moyes IN!

Well sucks that Bayern are through but at least Barcelona are out.

1/2 isn't too bad I guess hopefully Athletico and RM can win in the next round. Pretty crappy to have to support Real but with Chelsea and Bayern there they are actually not close to the scummiest team left.

thank god Atletico got through. A semifinal ######bag festival of Bayern, Chelsea, Real and Barcelona would have been brutal for me.

Haha, moon are you this over the top about insanely trivial things in real life, or is this just an internet thing?

Not sure what you mean.

I don't like certain teams, other people in the thread have said basically the same thing, how is that over the top?

But yes in "real life" I think it sucks that Bayern and Chelsea are through and not all that happy about RM either but since I still like Bale that makes it easier to stomach.

Well that's that. No big surprise there except for how much Bayern struggled to put away a rudderless mid-table team over two legs.

Just thought this was hilarious.

Quote:
Barcelona have complained to Uefa about the length of the grass at the Vicente Calderon for tonight’s Champions League quarter-final second leg.
The squad were unhappy about the state of the pitch and while stopping short of filing an official complaint to European football’s governing body Uefa were left in no doubt that the length and dryness of the playing surface were not acceptable.
The last time Barcelona complained about the grass they ended up losing. Captain Xavi Hernandez made his feelings known to the referee at half-time in the league defeat to Valladolid last month. And the Spain international said after the game: 'The state of the pitch has prevented us from playing our natural game.'

Real Madrid - Bayern Munich

Atletico Madrid - Chelsea

So happy not to he playing another English club. But Ronaldo's and Bale's speed is terrifying

Atletico vs Chelsea will be interesting.
Courtois will be able to play after all, though it was speculated he had a clause in his loan preventing him from playing against his parent team without a sizable (rumoured 5M) fee. UEFA is stating that any clause to that effect be considered null and void.
Tough matchup, but they all are at this stage

Well at least us casual fans will get to see RM/Bayern. Cheering for RM solely for Bale.

I was hoping that would be the final. I thought it would be sweet to see Atletico/Real and a Bayern/Chelsea rematch and then potentially have a Bayern/Real final.

A Chelsea/Real final would be interesting, too, with the managers involved.

I just find Chelsea to be an incredibly boring team to watch this year.

closer to 10 I think

my guess is Chelsea/Real at this point, it's bittersweet no Bayern/Real in the final but on the plus side we do get to see them play twice rather than once
