Maybe his big decision is between an ATO and play significantly more hockey, or sign his ELC collecting his signing bonus/burning a year but only playing one more game this year..... That'd be a tough decision especially if he loves hockey as much as being reported.

Wishful thinking. He just battled with the team he has been on for 3 years. I think if anything he wants to live out his dream of playing in the NHL and getting paid. He gets to work hard this summer and be at home before making the full time move to calgary/abby

I'm not so sure this is true. It's been a while since I looked up his numbers this year but last I did he was hovering around the 50% mark on the season. But I am curious how he did in the 2nd half, hopefully he really improved.

We should be tweeting JG about all the great classes he has to look forward to when he returns to BC next year!
All kidding aside, I do think Arnold leaving will be a big factor. Gaudreau knows that things just won't be the same next season. He can promise his mother that he'll finish his degree after hockey. The degree isn't going anywhere, and I suspect his mother and father know the risk-reward of another year of college hockey. Mom will relent.
