Nope. We have the Shaw Gateway and a couple of TV's. Not sure what you're getting at.

He lives in an apartment and only has one TV/PVR so it's hard to escape other people's annoying TV choices?

Maybe...but you could, you know, read a book or do something else.

I have to say, I'm in the situation (small apartment style condo, one main room, two bedrooms, one TV and one PVR) and it really isn't just always as easy as just "doing something else."

Yeah, I guess that would make it difficult if you are in a small area. Still would try to do anything else other than watching a show that GMG's.

Just, watching whatever you want to watch, whenever you want to watch it, sounded more complicated than it should, I guess.

The gas gear grinder reminds me of the days when I worked at a gas station. I remember the price went up from 44.9 to 46.9 and this older guy just lost it on me. Dude, I'm a 16 year old gas station attendant. I'm not the one who jacked the price a couple days before the long weekend. Go call the CEO of Petro Canada or something.

Walked back to my vehicle after a game of golf only to find that a bunch of god damned gulls decided to shat all over my vehicle. They turned my windshield, roof and hood into a ####ing war zone. Huge white spots everywhere. And I just washed the damned vehicle yesterday

So I take my car into Canadian Tire friday for a oil change, they call me mid day and say that my brake, power steering and transmission fluid are all really black and need to be flushed, I agree get them to do it aswell and all is well. Saturday I am driving and my brake indicator comes on, I pop the hood check the fluid level and its really low so I top it off and head on my way.
I was getting some tires replaced at another shop today and they found on their inspection that the brake fluid is leaking like a sieve out of the back left and that my dipstick is missing off my engine, so I go back to Canadian tire and they say they will look at it tommorow.
Now I have a feeling they are going to say that it just started leaking and it is not their fault and want to charge me more money to fix it, but I find it awfully funny that in 5 years I have never had a problem with any leaking brake fluid at all, and their own inspection said there was no leak, and it magically starts leaking the day after I have it flushed..
Any recourse if they want to charge to fix (which they will) what very well might have been their own carelessness?

FYP, seriously the only thing I have ever had done at Canadian Tire is an out of province inspection on an imported vehicle. This was only after confirming there was nowhere else I could get it done.

I know I know lol. It was a location/speed choice, which has not turned out well.

To add something that might actually be of value. A brake system is a closed loop, meaning that it shouldn't get dirty. I don't know that I have ever replaced brake fluid unless I was actually replacing parts.

Humble-brags GMG. The fact that you drive an X5 is irrelevant, although it shows you can probably afford the $2.50.

If I said I drive a 95 rusted out Civic and that $2.50 breaks the bank, does that make it less irritating or more?

Coming home to a big white pick up truck parked in our reserved spot. Yes I could probably get them towed tonight if I made a big stink, but I'm gonna pull the nice guy card and leave a note. Still grinds my gears.

Getting a cold-call from Shaw this evening:

Shaw: Hi, we're calling to offer exclusive deals to customers in your area. Are you with Shaw?
Me: Yes, actually - phone, cable and internet. But I would love to hear about these deals you're offering.
Shaw: Um, actually, these are for new customers only - you should call our customer service line to see what they can offer you.

Great service, Shaw! Maybe it's time to take up Telus on their new TV offer.

I tried to get Shaw to come out and install cable/internet for two weeks before I gave up and just called Telus who came out 2 days later. So the service is pretty crap all around.

I took the TV offer from telus. Free 40 inch Samsung when you sign up for cable and internet...and a few months later they upped it to a free 45 inch tv. So hold out and get a 50...
