Actually the issue I have is that exact same problem, but with the Scotia Insurance ad.

PM Bingo with any info you can give (screenshots), he is the one that can contact the ad company.

Just eliminate the Scotia ad and replace it with something of mine that will work

I'll PM in some screen caps next time it happens. Never even thought it'd be anything related to the ads. Nice catch there...it's the Scotia ad for me as well.

I'm having the same problem but it is with the Best Western ad at the top.

I deleted my cookies and now no problem.

Yup, I'm having the same issue, but with all the different ad banners, not just one.

Sometimes have to reload 3, 4, 5 times to get the page I need.

Same. But I did discovered that if I change the Document Mode to IE9 standard (I am forced to use IE at work), the problem goes away.

I didn't notice it was related to ads until I read this thread earlier this morning. So I don't know what ads would previously cause this issue, but all day today I get the ScotiaLife banner add at the top when I can't load the rest of the page.

This has happened to me on FireFox at my work computer, Chrome on my home PC and also on my Galaxy phone.

Confirmed- the GMC, Buick, and Chevy ads are also causing the forum to stop loading for me. Clearing my cookies helps temporarily.

Also Scotiabank.

When it pauses it should say what it's waiting for at the status bar of the browser (bottom left), anyone see what it is?

Or anyone with Firebug or similar see what it's hanging on?

Same problem. I just delete my browser history and cookies and then it loads ok.

This is what I see. Page appears to be done loading. (I resized the window for the sake of the image size.)
Spoiler!

I thought it was hanging waiting on a server, but instead it looks like an error with the javascript.

I see a Javascript error "Error: Permission denied to access property 'toString'" in a Google javascript lidar.js (which comes down as part of the ad). It gets that error and stops rendering the page.

A bit of digging implies this is a security thing when using iframes to prevent cross site scripting hacks.

Which still points to it being incorrect coding on the ad server's part, since the iframe comes from them.

Before it was really only the Canal Flats and Scotiabank ones. Now it's a bunch of them that won't load the whole page. Some of them, like the Home Depot one, are hit and miss. Sometimes it fully loads, sometimes it doesn't. Very strange one here.

I had to turn on my adblocker because it kept getting stuck so often. Refresh refresh refresh.
