At least the Flames were able to follow up with a division championship and a few playoff seasons. Devils couldn't even follow theirs up with a playoff appearance.

@TGfireandice: Jagr on whether Devils just had to tip their cap to Ramo tonight: "Or kill him."
@TGfireandice: Jagr joked of killing Ramo that he'd be suspended for only one game, "because I never did anything wrong before."
@TGfireandice: Jagr: "It doesnt matter who would be on the ice today Gretzky, Lemieux. There was no chance anybody would score."
@TGfireandice: Jagr: "How much can one team dominate? It was total domination. It just wasnt our night.

They weren't that dominant, I mean they outplayed the Flames but I have seen worse....every time the Oilers play

Agreed, "total dominance" is a bit of an exaggeration... But whatever floats your boat, Jagr.

The new GM is going to have to do some savvy wheeling and dealing this offseason.

Agreed. I hope the GM makes a move if Cammy doesn't stay (likely) Its one thing to bring in a vet to provide leadership but this team needs a vet that can still score and contribute. This club Is trying to breed some respectable offensive talent. Guys like Monahan, Sven, Johnny G, 2014 pick etc... These guys need to learn more than what it is to be a pro, they need to learn and understand what it takes to be an every night contributer in the NHL. I know some would argue that Cammalleri may not even be that type of mentor, but let's face it it's the closest we have and it seems to be working.
This role really needs to be filled. I know goal scoring 30ish year olds with leadership qualities don't grow on trees but I see no reason why this team shouldn't be hunting for one. I get that these types are typically looking for term and $$$ which complicates things but at what point does it need to be considered?

That a huge loss for the Devils, no wonder their players and fans are annoyed. 3 points back of the wild card and both Detroit and Columbus have a game in hand. They're in deep doo-doo.
Really happy to see Ramo play well.........again. Be nice to have a legit goalie to count on next year instead of question marks. He's played really well since coming back.

Let's throw some money at Jagr.

Good quotes. Forgot that Jagr played two seasons with Ramo with Omsk in the KHL.
P.S. Jagr is still a beast out there. Still dominant, even after all these years.

Awesome win!!
-Rambo with another stellar performance. Never ever doubt a Finnish goalie.
-Jagr is a beast, even at his age. I kept thinking how much faster he was 20 years ago, and yet he still made plays and almost tied the game.
-Unsung hero: Big Ern. Wow what a game from him. Finished his checks, 12+ mins of icetime, and out protecting the lead in the last minute.
-The first pairing of Gio and Brodie brought me great joy. Watching Brodie slowly but surely become a (hopefully) 1st pairing defender is awesome to watch.

He's said he's always wanted to play in Canada. I'm sure he'd rather go to a contender but hell, worth a shot.

can't it be both?...sign with the Flames and play with his best buddy Ramo and then traded to a contender at the deadline

Yeah I'm surprised he hasn't played for one of the Canadian franchises yet.
Anyhow, I'd daresay Calgary is one of the best, if not the best Canadian hockey markets for him to try. Our team has a great identity and work ethic, our fanbase is intelligent and patient with the rebuild underway, there's a top six RW spot to fill since Stemp is gone - it's a pressure-free situation market wise unlike the unmitigated disasters that are Vancouver, Edmonton, and Toronto.
Ottawa and Winnipeg are mostly floating in no-man's land and only Montreal seems to be the other viable option. Screw Montreal and their fanbase though, so there.
We also have the cap space to throw money at him. I'd offer him a 1-2 year "let's see how this goes" deal at a fairly ludicrous price, can always flip him to a contender at half price for assets if he doesn't feel like staying.

I'm sold. Helps that he's a gym rat, plus it would give guys like Sven and Johnny someone to look up to on the team.

Would buy a Jagr jersey if this happened. Because Jagr.

Giordano is one of the best captains I've ever seen, his work ethic permeates through the entire team. His play is infectious out there. Hope he is healthy next year, if we can develop some young potential leadership while Gio is captain the team will be out of a rebuild much faster than most think.
Things are definitely on the right track as opposed to 3 or 4 years of being on the the wrong track. A kickass new Finnish goalie is awsome too.
