Default Measles Warning for two Calgary Restaurants

People who were at National Westhills on March 24 and March 25 or at Cibo on 17th Avenue S.W. on March 29 and March 30 could be at risk, said the agency.

Also.. Please vaccinate your kids/yourself if you have not done so. I have a newborn at home who is too young to vaccinate, and i do not want him to be at risk because someone decided that they are smarter than doctors, phd's and a hundred years of solid research.

This is only going to get worse too, as apparently there are a lot of morons in the world who think they know better than every single doctor and medical practitioner alive.

Just to clarify, measles vaccination is usually administered to kids. The flu vaccine you got in December wouldn't protect you if you didn't get vaccinated for mmr as a kid.

Yes that is what I meant their, it wasn't a typo, why are you even bothering to ask for clarification? I know how much it would confuse the average person to write 'then' instead of 'than' in that context so I always use extra caution in those circumstances. Its written in plane English. You and the poster who thanked you're attempted grammar police post really are too of a kind.

Good grief. If the anti vaxxers refuse the shots make them criminally liable for anyone else that gets sick. They did it for the Vegans who starved their kid to death afterall. At least make it a very very steep fine.

In an age where Polio has finally been eradicated from Asia we now have at least four preventable diseases making a comeback because of these people. Mumps, Polio, Whooping cough and Measles are all on the rise on our continent.

If you were born after 1970 you most likely were vaccinated already for it as a child, so there's no reason for screening for adults, unless they know they might have an incomplete immunization schedule, or a new person to the country that came from a country without a solid immunization schedule for children. If that's the case, people born after 1970 are given another MMR vaccine, which should last the rest of their life, and if born before 1970, they are presumed to have natural immunity.

If you don't vaccinate your child and that child get seriously sick or suffers health issues due to the parent not doing their job they should be held criminally responsible. Take care of your kids.

I think its time to mandate vaccinations for public health reasons. And to protect the kids if the parents are going to be ignorant morons.

The stupidity is unreal.

That's the thing.. the Vaccine is not 100% effective (nothing is). As soon as you increase the number of those with zero protection it increases the risk of everyone else getting it. Increased contact to the virus of course means increased cases.

Not sure you are taking this to mean that it has nothing to do with vaccinations, but i am sure others are.

That's correct. It's cos they likely had the disease and survived and their bodies built natural immunity.
