Go Isles! That team though ... Tavares, Okposo, Grabner and Visnovsky all injured. Huge opportunity for Strome, Lee etc.

The Oilers game is the least important game.

At 1700h

in Canada

and Centre Ice in the USA.

at

It is scoreless midway through the first period.
The Senators are still in the playoff hunt with seven games
remaining. They are five points back of the BJs and six back
of the Red Wings for the last two playoff spots.

It is a Wednesday night rivalry

doubleheader across the USA and both games are

simulcast on across Canada!

At 1800h

It is an Original Six division rivalry and this game
could be a preview to a first round match up. The
Bruins have a one point lead on the Blues in the
overall standings. This game is also on RDS.

It is a must win for the Coyotes in this Pacific Division battle.
The Coyotes are tied with the Stars for the last playoff spot but
have played one more game than the Stars. The Kings are in
third place and will most likely finish in that position.

No Iginla on the ice for Bruins warmup. Looks like they are giving him a rest. My hockey pool says booooo! (I know no one cares!)

“@DavidCGoucher: The resting begins. Jarome Iginla gets the night off, the first game he's missed this season. Jordan Caron enters the lineup.”

Isles lead 1-0 after the 1st period.

Pretty solid period for the Islanders

The Oilers game does matter because if they pass Florida, they will be the most likely to select Draisaitl if Ekblad is gone.

Buffalo - Reinhart
Florida - Ekblad
Edmonton - Draisaitl
Calgary - Bennett

or

Buffalo - Reinhart
Edmonton - Ekblad
Florida - ??? I would say Bennett
Calgary - Draisaitl

Or he's actually injured:

“@NHLBruins: Jarome Iginla out tonight with a lower-body injury ^BB”

This ends a pretty solid iron man streak right?

They wouldnt sit him and ruin the streak just for rest

He was a scratch the night he was traded so I think that "officially" ended it. This is the first time he's missed a game from injury in a very long time.

Battle of the teams that likely won't have first rounders. I guess they have no reason to tank tonight then.

The Islanders would be foolish to keep the 5th pick this year, knowing they'll have a good shot at McDavid next year. Although if the lottery changes as early as next year maybe they'll consider keeping this years instead.
