If it had a socket I'd take it. I don't even trust the mystic to fix weapons anymore, last one I tried to get a socket on took all my elite mats and over 2m gold and still failed

What I really wish is that the mystic could bump up the level of a legendary. There's a few that I have that are low level but I like the effect so much I'm still wearing them close to level 60. One helm that has 32% chance to blind, SUPER useful, and the amulet that gives me 4x300% orbiting orbs.

I thought white items were pretty much useless. I have this ring that spawns a treasure troll and when I'm adventuring the troll picks up all white items and after 14 have been picked up I get a yellow (rare?) or legendary item.
How does damage work for a caster? Do additional damage attributes on a weapon (i.e. +500 poison damage) get added to my casts or is that for physical hitting only?
Are secondary stats any different from primary stats? EDIT: Here's the answer to this one: http://gaming.stackexchange.com/ques...-secondary-tit

So I've had a really good Unity for awhile, level 60 so strength could be better but 50% critical damage, 5.5% critical chance and 15% against elites. I found a level 70 one but the stats were worse, I sort of thought about salvaging it as it wouldn't take place of my old one.
Then I decided to put it on my Templar to test out it's special ability (wearers share damage) and I stacked him up with toughness so he could survive. 2 minutes later I find a legendary Templar relic, special ability is my Templar can't die. So now he takes half my damage, can't die, and I can stack him up completely with damage modifiers. The little downside is when he's getting attacked I take damage but rarely will he be taking more damage than my barb. Super happy with how it's working out.
Edit: Actually don't think I take damage when my Templar gets hit, so pretty much I just take 50% damage and my Templar now has close to 300k damage himself. I think this might get changed here soon but right now it's pretty awesome.

In my experience, they give you level appropriate gear for a specific slot. So essentially you a buying a gear drop in a slot you need upgraded.
The stat roll is still variable, so it has a chance to be crap.

Yah, I got like 5 armour recipes that require white armour. It isn't as bad as you think it is - go to pandemonium and loot those armour stacks - they are littered everywhere and you'll be able to find something in very short order.
I'm having more problems finding the legendary crafting item for the recipe. The only one I can seem to find is Adventurer's Journal for Pender's Purchase (which requires white Ascend Gauntlets).

Adventurer's Journals drop like candy. Why them and not the others? Going to have to look into if certain areas drop certain mats more often.

If I recall, Adventurer's Journals drop from breaking pots and stuff like that, which is why they are so common. Most of the other mats drop from specific enemies and stuff.
*EDIT* Here's a link for what drops where. http://www.diablofans.com/forums/dia...drop-locations

I've been trying all day to get an Element of Celerity to drop in Fields of Misery, but nothing. The drop rates for mats are so stupidly low it's almost pointless to try. If it wasn't for the fact that the belt it makes is guaranteed to have attack speed I'd give up

Add me to the list of people who needs a white doubleshot bow.
Not really urgent, obviously, as need to get the crafting component

I'll keep an eye out for white as they drop.
I don't have any legendary plans so I've been putting off farming for the mats/white items.
*Edit" I'm a little bored, so here as the normal items needed for some of the legendaries
Armour: Pretty much anything Ascended
belt: archon sash
Wand: Diabolic Wand

Staff (monk): whirlwind staff

The unique quill fiend monster in one of the cellars during the Rumford At The Gate quest is where you find it, and it is pretty easy.
By the way, you can go to the top of the list for a white Doubleshot. Oling found one for me, so I am good.

Has anyone gotten any legendaries from Kadala? I think I've cashed in 1000 blood shards and haven't even gotten an upgrade yellow let alone a legendary.

I think this is a different item then, the link posted said it was dropped from a bat. The Sydyru Crust? If it is the same, then that is way easier than doing fields of misery!
Quote:
Sydyru Bone
Acquired from: Act I, Cathedral Level 1, Glidewing (Rare spawn Bat)
Act I, Cathedral Level 2, Firestarter (Rare spawn Bat)
Act I, Fields of Misery, Carrion Farm Event, Sicklefang (Event spawn Bat)
Act III, Unknown Depths, Hellscream (Rare spawn Bat)
Where to farm: Needs testing, I believe Act I, Fields of Misery might be the best choice as the event is easy to find and spawns frequently.
Used for: Sydyru Crust, Bow, +(981–1199)–(1175–1490) Poison Damage, Increases Attack Speed by 5–7%, Increases damage against elites by 9–10%, 3 random magic properties

Gotten 2 legendaries out of maybe 1500. Seen class sets as well. Spamming the 5 cost armors gets you some.

I spent all 1K on shoulders because that is my weakest piece. Only getting weaker yellows and some blues... =/
Well good to know that they are dropping, just bad luck on my part I guess.

Looks like there are two plans that use the Doubleshot. Mine needs the Shimmering Quill I think it is called. Yours sucks! LOL.
Got mine in three runs.
