Sadly it does not, some stations will still allow you to choose the amount, but if it's over $100, it defaults back to $100.

Though it seems most stations now limit it at $150.

Oh and Downtown Edmonton... At least it's near the better side of the downtown core.

If anyone needs a hookup though the number is 780-709-0001
Spoiler!

Oddly enough, this came from the "FFFFFFF...." thread that predated the GMG thread.

Terrible April Fools jokes GMGs.
I hate listening the the DJs spread their stipid prank all morning. It is even worse because I know that tonight and tomorrow they will continuously talk about how they fooled everyone. Is anyone dumb enough to fall for your crappy fake news story?

I don't mind a well done one, but most of them are so far from possible.

I'm desperately trying to find evidence of this online, but I remember hearing about a Calgary radio station in the '60s playing a pre-taped interview with the Beatles and doctoring it to sound like they were being interviewed at Calgary airport, which resulted in the airport being swarmed with teenyboppers. Anyone else know this story?

It's definitely a NA thing. When I was in the Philippines last fall, the amount of honking there is crazy. But more then anything, it signifies someone wanted to pass you. Coming up on a guy on his left and gonna pass him? Give a short friendly honk so he doesn't side swipe you. Passing someone on the highway? Honk to let him know you're coming up his side.

Then you come back here and as soon as someone hears a honk, it's like road rage takes over. The only way to communicate with someone while on the road is by honking. You can't talk to them, get their attetion any other way. You have to honk. Coincidentally, honking sounds loud and evil.

Even now when I pass someone on a single lane highway, occasionally I'll give a little honk to let them know I'm coming up. The amount of people that instantly flip out is hilarious. In NA, honking just seems to activate some kind of nerve in the brain that coincides with feelings of anger/annoyance.

People who honk and arn't angry GMG. The sheer volume of noise in third world countries from honking is ridiculous, any sort of deviation towards that is unacceptable. It would be like going backwards.

Interesting, I would much prefer people honking as a form of communication as opposed to the typical venting.

Agreed, honking should say "what you just did was unsafe" not "**** you"

One of the GMG is coming into work today early. It was 6 am and very dark. This is where all the businessman jaywalkers come out to play. Within a 1 minute span I almost (or could have) hit 4 different pedestrians.

Its hard to see at that time. Going down 5th avenue at 6th street one guy startled me as he was timing to jaywalk just behind me but only saw him at the last moment, if I was changing lanes or something. Then the two blocks later two guy together looks as startled as I was as my headlights got them in the face. I turn left on 2nd street scared still, with my face to the windshield and there is another guy standing there jaywalking now stopped and startled because he couldn't believe a car was driving down the road. I obviously stopped.

I jaywalk to but jeezus default to assuming you cannot be seen by drivers whenever you do. Probably not a bad idea to go under the speed limit downtown too.
Not trying to be rude or anything, but do you have issues seeing when it's dark out? Maybe you have night blindness? I know my wife has issues when she isn't wearing her glasses at night.

You should have just hit them, then yelled out "April Fools" as you drove away.

It's a normal eye exam, the only difference is they turn out the lights in the exam room.

Why would you honk in that circumstance? Of course it's going to piss people off as they're going to think you're honking at them to tell them they did something wrong. You know, because that's what a horn honk means in this country.

Based on my subjective research, the only people that take part in April Fools day are: Kids, Large Corporations, and ######s. I actually like the day, it helps me pick out the people to look down on at work.

People who walk and or drive forward without looking in the direction they're going. Astounding.
