I don't mean to come across as a CP 1%er (far from it - trust me), but I don't think that I have ever done anything less than a fill at the gas station. I'm not sure I understand why you would partially fill to a specific dollar amount. It doesn't save you any money, and just increases the frequency that you'll have to visit the gas station, thus wasting time.
I'm the same way. In my mind, it's just going to be the same amount of money regardless. Whether I spend $40 every two weeks or $20 every week, it's the same.

Yeah have never understood that either. See people do it in BC all the time. Walk into gas station, hand the clerk a 20-spot and go put a bit of gas in and drive away.
Who pays cash for gas? With credit card rewards and with how easy it is to get one why wouldn't everyone use it for gas?
And seriously who can't afford a full tank of gas? If you can only pay for 20 bucks in gas at a time maybe you need to be reassessing your finances and how thin you're cutting things. Besides how annoying would it be to have to go to the gas station every other day.

I don't think I've ever filled up less than a full tank at a gas station before. What's the point? You'll just end up wasting time going to gas stations more frequently. And because I usually fill around the $50 mark, I always preauthorize to $80 just to be safe. I don't get why people are so adverse to pre-authorizing more. It's not like your credit card gets charged that amount. Unless you're constantly maxing out your cc, you shouldn't even notice the extra pre-auth amount, which goes away in a day or so.
I'll tell you where it affects me. The tank in my F-150 holds 140 liters. Some gas stations only let you put in $100 maximum per transaction. So as it's approaching $100, it slows down to a snail's pace. It's a total pain in the dick.
In my poor student days there were definitely times that I could only put in $20. It was either that or fill the whole tank and NOT go drinking with buddies. That's obviously not an option.

I've done it when borrowing a friend's vehicle. Also if you have your own vehicle, it's a good way to try and budget your gas usage.
I do also fill up most of the time, but understand why some people don't.
I used to do it as a form of budgeting, back when I was in school. If I only ever had $20 in the tank I'd be less inclined to drive around for fun, or if I didn't need too.
Now, same boat as Sliver. Even filling to the max $100 you have to sit through the pain of it crawling through the last $1. That's why I fill at shell if it's really cold, their pumps seem the fastest.
Had a courtesy car the other day and I had to return the car with the same amount of gas I got it with - half tank.
I was on empty and I went to fill up half way. Pulled out the manual and everything to see what the tank capacity was. Filled it to half the alleged capacity. Get in the car after and look at the gauge and it's 7/8 full dammit lol.
Related: why does it take so long to go from a full tank to half and so short to go from half to empty?

Depends on the shape of the tank. Some are a little triangle shaped, or in your case sounds like upside down triangle. Also, tank capacity generally doesn't take into account for the fuel in the filler pipe, making the first half tank seem larger since it's actually a full tank + the pipe

I hope you drove it around for a few hours until it was actually half full. Otherwise...

I always took it to mean a girl who was NEXT LEVEL hot, like, not just HOT but a step ABOVE that, but the amount it gets used for women in that "average hot" range GMG.
Don't spoil such a great term on the above average folks, save it for the top of the class.

Is it possible that different people have different criteria of what is "NEXT LEVEL hot"......

Turning onto 14th Ave from Heritage Drive, its a dual turn lane.
I was turning from the inside lane, I notice a car beside me in the outside lane taking a wide turn, I thought that it was a bit odd, but maybe they were going to pull into the third lane. Nope, all of the sudden the lady decides she's going to turn into the inside lane, probably came within inches of smoking the side of my car, I honk at her at the same time, thankfully we avoided a collision, but then she decides to flip me the bird and she speeds ahead.
I don't know if the snow is messing with peoples minds or something, but there was tons of bad drivers on the road today.

I hate that turn so much. Whenever I'm taking it I'm headed to Glenmore Landing so I take the outside lane of the dual turn, can't even count the times people in the inside lane try to turn into the wrong lane on 14th.
