Greetings from Lisbon folks. Been here a week. Saw Sporting v Porto last Sunday, and just got back from Benfica v Tottenham Europa League. That stadium(Estadio da Luz) is a sight to be seen. Took a tour, got plenty of pics pitchside, it was awesome.

Here's a pic from our awesome seats tonight at kick off.

Off to Madrid tomorrow and on Sunday, it's time for El Classico. So pumped, you have no idea. Not cheap though, that's for sure.

Checking out Barca/Celta Vigo on Wednesday and then in London next weekend, it's time for Arsenal v City.

Soccer trip of a lifetime!!

Not a good draw for United. From sweetheart Olympiakos to Bayern.

Could be either the ultimate redemption for them and a means to salvage their season, or it could be a disaster.

There's an opportunity for somethin, that's for sure.

Atletico - Two teams that are really close in La Liga. Is it time for a new Spanish giant to emerge?
Real Madrid - a healthy Dortmund can beat any squad in the world, they are far from a healthy squad and RM is firing on all cylinders.
PSG - I think this will be the best match up to watch
Bayern Munich - Bayern is rolling, as long as they don't underestimate United they should take this one.

Fantastic.

Kroos, gets a 2 week trial to show what he can do.

I think

United have a chance, stylistically for how Moyes would play vs anyone its best vs a team like Bayern

I actually kind of have a weird feeling they might surprise

I think they could surprise but not over two legs.

Just got back from El Classico. Oh my god, easily best sporting event I've ever been to. I've got the chant of "hey hey, puta barca puta barca" stuck in my head. Was at the stadium 3 hours before kick off and the mass of humanity was insane. Was almost hit by a police horse as the team bus pulled up. Cool seeing ronaldo in front seat of bus wave to fans, he was like ten feet away from us.

Awesome seeing the two best players in the world. 7 goals, a messi hat trick and a Ronaldo penalty about 40 feet away from me. Truly amazing.

Here's a pic of where I was sitting as the stadium was starting to fill up.

Knock this off the bucket list, it was a once in a lifetime experience.

Bayern drew against Hoffenheim today 3-3 in their last match before United. A bit a stumble for them but maybe it's the shake up they needed to refocus.

Bayern also lost Thiago with a knee injury

This is pretty close to what Bayern sees Wednesday.

Rooney
Young Mata Valencia
Carrick Fellaini
Buttner Vidic Rio Jones
de Gea

Didn't include Januzaj as I haven't really seen him defend. Maybe kagawa as he's beaten Bayern......

Were so ####ed.

no Mata tomorrow. He's already played for Chelsea in the CL this year, so he can't play for United. Safe to say that after his performance on Saturday, Kagawa will start tomorrow ... especially since Moyes subbed him after 65 minutes or so. Think he'll start behind Rooney in the Mata role. Also expect Welbeck tomorrow. Three man midfield would be a good idea vs Kroos and his friends.

Rooney Welbeck
Kagawa
Carrick Fellaini Giggs
Büttner Vidic Jones Valencia
de Gea

yeah, that's actually what I'm hoping for. But yes, we're ####ed. Has the potential to be a very, very, very ugly set of games.

Also not to further the injury concerns (LOL!), but early in the Villa game yesterday, I saw Jones look to pull his hamstring, and favoured it for a bit.

I think United have an opportunity against Bayern, they're basically done and all they have left is the Champions' League so United could see a complacent Bayern.

I just dont see them being able to hold a lead over two legs. When Bayern need to get something done they always seem to have the ability to get it done.

Just checked the British bookies to see the betting for tomorrow night.

You can get 6/1 odds on United winning tomorrow night! Unheard off, and they're at home!

http://sports.williamhill.com/bet/en.../5/Soccer.html

To give some perspective, that's the sort of odds you would expect if a non-league team was home to a top Premier League team in a cup competition.

Sorry United fans....

Quote:
Toni Kroos will be a Bayern Munich player next season, the club’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told reporters on Monday.

“It is safe to say that Toni Kroos will play for FC Bayern next season,” Rummenigge told reporters on Monday. “In addition to it, it is also our will that he wears our jersey beyond June 30, 2015.”
