Generally, this season has been darker than all the rest combined. They have gone places I didn't really expect them to go. Also didn't think that, as a prime-time show on a basic cable package, they had the balls to go.
Some quality/writing related stuff still takes me out of the moment a bit, but I'm starting to move past that. If I want to enjoy it I have to take it for what it is. I really appreciated the efforts of the new writers to flesh out some of the backstories. A lot of the characters became much more well rounded this year, and it makes it a richer experience. Even enjoyed the rise, redemption, and fall of Brian/The Governor.
Pretty intrigued with the direction the show has taken in the last handful of episodes. Satisfied with the way they set-up Terminus, and I loved Rick's last line.

Definitely Cannibals. You don't see a lot of cows around, so big hunks of meat like those ones on the BBQ have to come from somewhere. Plus why else would they shoot around them instead of just killing them? They need to keep them alive so they can harvest them one limb at a time. When they were running down between the buildings those walls were seriously pockmarked with bullets, indicating that this same scenario has played out numerous times. There were people inside those closed doors yelling "help us help us" and one scene showed them running past kind of a boneyard of sorts with what looked to be several stripped human skeletons.
Not sure how they're going to get out of this predicament (and it's likely that at least one of them won't - my money is on Tara going to the grill) but now that they have numbers they can at least mount a resistance. I just hope next season starts out with a bang instead of doing a bunch of flashbacks and long lead-ins that make you feel like you only got 15 minutes of new material.
Bad-ass Rick is back, which is awesome. S**t's gonna get real.

Pretty sure that's it. Guess it's all up to Carol and Tyrese now as Beth is presumably locked up somewhere in Terminus as well.
Enjoyed the episode, even though it was pretty much a foregone conclusion Terminus wasn't going to be as advertised. Nice to see the group reunited as the story will probably advance a bit faster again vs. the big focus on character development that we saw in the second half of this season (which wasn't a bad thing IMO).
Boo urns having to wait until October for the next season to start!

The entire last half of the episode I was trying to figure out whether the Terminus people were cannibals or not. Too many indications that say yes. But at the same time it's weird that so many people have bought into this lifestyle of trapping travellers and feeding on them like they're cattle. Pretty messed up.. or maybe I've seen too many horror flicks where the cannibals are portrayed as clans of hunch-backed inbreds.
Kind of dark episode, really kept you hooked, though. It was fun. I'm also glad they finally got their dark pasts out in the open this season, cause I personally don't care for example what happened to Michonne. We get that things are screwed up now, and she had to do some messed up stuff before. It just really slows down the present storyline when they have to take timeouts every so often to sit around and put on their cry faces while reflecting back on stuff the audience doesn't have much of an emotional connection to.
I really don't mind the flashbacks as much as when they throw those moments in.

I thought they laid down a pretty big hunk of foreshadow in the end when Rick put Carl's hat on Beth and told her that she's the new sheriff in town. I'm looking at Beth to save the day now.

There was the whole part about how to trap a rabbit. I'm wondering if that was just foreshadowing that terminus was a trap too, or if there is something more there that I'm missing.
Was there any significance with the guy that was "alone" out there circled by walkers in the field? Just showing that they can't save everyone?

Great episode tonight, and it really sets things up well for next season. The show is much better with the new darker tone (when its called for).
I like the fact that the leader (Garrett) is just some ordinary guy, and not some maniacal powerhungry leader like The Governor was. It's just a different archetype on what they'd usually give us. I just hope they don't pull back the curtain next season and reveal someone else is in charge.
The only quandary I have is would people really resort to cannibalism so shortly after the zombie-apocalypse began? I am not sure exactly how much time has passed, but you'd think people would give it a while before they resort to harvesting people for dinner.
Oh and Ric's group kinda blew it in checking out the premise. They easily could have made their way inside the fence and scaled around it to see the people (at the front) wearing Glen's stuff. Not a huge problem mind you, but as a group of only four people they shouldn't have approached them that way (being vastly outnumbered and all).

Depends on the people and how long they've been totally hungry, but imo it wouldn't take nearly as long as we like to think it would.

Yeah, I was wondering why the Terminus gang was having problems shooting, I thought it was too cliche missing the star actors... then I figured out they were guiding them to the train car.
They ran by some room where someone was shouting 'help us' and then they ran by what looked like a caged area full of skinned and decapitated humans.
Was wondering what the hell Terminus was, and now it's clear it's a cannibal camp.
Two things now to consider - Tyrese and Carol showing up, and the bag of weapons that Rick buried.

As for the timeline, we're about two years into it I think. Lori got pregnant just after it started, and the Judith is about 1 now I would say.

Really surprised by the comments here this time around. Funny...I think an episode is great and the comments are the opposite. Come in here now to post along the lines of how I thought the episode really wasn't that great and actually a little boring. Was expecting more to happen and everyone says what a great episode it was.

Alex (the guy who had Glen's watch) tells Gareth to wait to see if Rick and his crew are useful? He tells him to shut up.
Definitely some sort of canibalistic camp. The yard had human skull in the pile of bones as well, which is saying they're shredding ppl down to bare bones? Jeez.
The "help" calls were coming from other sea cans, so they've got loads of people.
"never again, never trust, we first always" the writing in the ritual room. Seems like their camp was attacked and probably lost a bunch of people and now they trust nobody and will always attack the new group thus Alex telling Gareth to wait but he doesn't want to. Their dead people were likely the ones written on the floor in their memory.
So my understanding Terminus used to be good, got attacked, lost bunch of people and now they don't trust anyone and kill the newcomers for food.

I would really like to speculate on what I think will happen, but I won't because I'm basing my thoughts on what happens in the comics.
Really good episode, loved the shot of Rick at the end with the sliver of light on his face and his "They're screwing with the wrong people" line. Didn't we see a similar shot of Carl with the sliver of light when he was laying down in the car with Michonne?

Just when you forget that Rick used to be a cop his Batman like skills come back into play..
Wasn't that the same poncho Daryl wore for a whole season? And he didn't even recognize it..
Good episode, I like the way it is set up for next season in that something will have to happen off the bat. Even if it is just us getting more background on the Terminus people. There is obviously a deeper story there than one day just deciding to start eating people.
I imagine that all of the other captives will also play a role, somebody from the main group will die, and Beth/Tyrese/Carol will save the day! Maybe they get a chance to pass them info about the guns through the fence, they come in guns a blazing.
This arc is not in the comics at all so there is no way that anyone can spoil it for you, so keep that in mind when you are reading peoples comments and cringing with what looks to be fact over prediction.
