"Mama, I'm coming home."

No Johnny in Cowtown this season. This will just give him the chance to help the Heat win the Calder Cup, before he wins the Calder Trophy next year.

I left the house and it was 3-2 Calgary. I came back home and heard the Flames lost by 6-3. WTF!! It's been a long time since I've seen the Flames collapsed in 1 1/2 periods.

The Flames can make it up to me if they put a nail in the Leafs' coffin on Tuesday.

Barf!!! Stop it!

btw - I like reading your posts! The draft positioning stuff... Arghhh!

Very happy for Monahan - Hoping this is a start on a string of multiple 20 goal seasons!

There's like 6 games left man, the draft is all that really matters at this point.

The loss sucks. The Silver Lining is a small positive in a weak draft is all. Not cheering for losses but there's no sense in being upset at them in year one of what majority are calling a re-build. The better pick gets the better player therefore expeditiing the re-build and pushing for contention sooner. Which is what we all want.

The foundation is set. If this loss means choosing between Bennett or Dal Colle/ Perlini, I'll accept the loss and call it a good day.

Thanks for liking my posts!

What matters is picking the right player not whether we are drafting 6th position or 7th

Sheesh!

The higher you pick, the better chance you have of picking the right player.

Hopefully the Islanders can pull ahead of us and Edmonton can pull ahead of Florida leaving it like this:

1. Buffalo - Reinhart
2. Florida - Ekblad
3. Oilers - Draisaitl
4. Flames - Bennett
5. Islanders - Dal Colle

Almost my ideal scenario, I would hope to have the Sabres take Bennett first leaving us with Reinhart. Either one would be a home run.

Unfortunately, I think this year is going to be like last year. When we were watching Carolina blow it on the last game. This time it will be the Islanders.

Yes and obviously 1 is better than 30 but really what's the obsession over drafting 6th vs 7th vs 8th??

Anyways - we are all Flames fans and I like enjoy your contributions to the forum!

Really hoping we can screw the Leafs playoff chances next game!

Not if it's between picking 4th or 6th and there's 4 stars that come out of the draft. Looks like the top 4-5 guys are ahead of the rest. Getting a key player could help the rebuild a lot.

Because we aren't talking about 6 or 7 or 8, we're hoping we get into 4th because that's where the best fits for our team are and there's a chance a home run slips into the 4th pick.

It's very specific to our current position with this current draft and the needs of the teams ahead of us.

That's not what we're talking about. We're talking about drafting as high as 4th. Plus the lower the finish the better chance we have of winning the lottery and getting the #1 pick. 4th vs 7th could be a huge difference in this draft but it doesn't sound like you're following the draft closely.
