Islanders back to the shootout... hopefully they've found someone who can score in the past two days.

Did you even watch the game or just come in here to post crap?

That -3 shows why it is a useless stat as he wasn't at fault on any of those goals.

Islanders back within 1 point of the Flames.

Did Schneider get hurt? NHL website shows Brodeur playing 5 minutes after Scheinder played 60.

I love how they're playing back to back golf commercials and 'what a shame' after a Leafs game.

lol. He's your favorite player in the NHL, isn't he? It's fine, we all have favorite players, but you have some sort of bat signal when anything's said about Phaneuf, haha.

I guess the third goal that was a breakaway is not the defenceman's fault. Sure it was a blocked shot but did you see where Phaneuf was on that goal with 11 minutes left? He was 5 feet from the front of the net....Yeah, not his fault at all. What did he think was going to happen if the shot was blocked? He's dumb as nails.

Really?

On both the first and 4th Detroit goal he was caught way up the ice. The 4th one he was down deep and was way out of position.

Sure, I don't know if you can fully assign blame but it's a continuing story with Dion, a negative factor in his own end.

Lol, "the Buffalo Sabre Hall of Fame"

That's probably a pretty thin list.

On the 1st goal he came back and took the puck from Helm after a terrible giveaway by Kessel and a stupid pinch by Gardiner . Then Gardiner gave it away again after Phaneuf got the puck as passed it to him. What did he do wrong there?

On the last goal Franson shoots into the Wings legs and then let's Helm skate around him. The always are down and need to press so why would Phaneuf drop back in that situation and not expect Franson to make a stupid play shooting it right into a Red Wing player.

Phaneuf is far from a perfect defender so plenty of chances to call him out without having to make stuff up.

What exactly are the odds for six of the seven teams missing the playoffs? They have to be extremely slim, like a 4% chance or something like that.

Nobody made anything up. Well, except I said it was the third goal and it was the fourth goal.

What is he doing in front of the net with so much time to go? He had no reason to be that risky. And Franson tried putting the puck on the net like defenceman do several dozen times a game and like players do dozens of times a game, they blocked it. Now only one defenceman back and a foot race with Helm? Again, what did he expect to happen? tip in a point shot? What seems more likely?
