Good one. Really good one. Saying it is wrong to tell someone else that their morals are screwed up, serves as a perfect definition of the difference between right and wrong.
But thanks again for avoiding my question.

Geez you are pretty shifty on this subject. You agree with the notion based on equal rights, but you think it's wrong based on some reason so inflammatory that you won't even mention it.
Just for fun, and for a little clarification, I'll ask this one simple question:
Same-sex marriage should be
A) legal
B) illegal

Where exactly am I shify on this subject? Must be hard for you to understand that someone does not agree with the idea of same-sex marriage, but still agrees with the idea of equal rights.

Come on now.
A) legal
B) illegal
If you don't answer with A or B then you just know you are being shifty.

I don't give care about your feelings about equal rights. I am purely interested in trying to understand people that think gay marriage is wrong and why? The fact that you are unable or unwilling to even answer that question doesn't help your cause.

Why? Because people deserve equal rights.
Happy?

And I'm not going to answer that question because I don't want to start a flame-fest on CP. Especially if you have certain posters here that refuse to answer my simple questions.

You can do a search and see this topic has come up a few times; a number of them before the last federal election.
And since this is going to come up for a free vote this fall, I'm sure it will be dabated a few more times.

Somehow I really don't see it as being a free vote. There won't be any public maneuvers, but I'm sure the underlying message will be "Tow the party line or else."

In the Liberal camp I could see that. I don't think Harper will do that. It'll totally destroy his efforts to show that a free vote is actually free.

Actually I was thinking it'd be the other way around. The Liberals are going to be looking to show that they aren't all the same, so they can't all be associated with the scandals. The Conservatives on the other hand have an agenda, there's going to be questions of unity in the governing part if they don't all agree. I'm willing to make a bet that no Conservative MPs vote against Harper on this one.

The only thing I am worried about is if Polygamy is legallized, do we start down a slippery slope where since Polygamists claim that they have a right to marry as many people as they want, are the Kiddy Ticklers going to come out and say it is their right to view whatever they want.
Thats what I am worried about.

Well anyone can say they have the right to just about anything you can think of, but that doesn't mean they actually do have that right.
