Default Rottweiler goes on a scary elevator ride

Wow, pretty scary. The owner was in such a panic she broke a couple fingers trying to get the dog free. Looks like the leash eventually gave out under the pressure.

Scary for sure.. glad the video doesn't show everything, watching the dog scramble was painful enough.

Good god, stay away from the comments. Typical- perfect people that know everything and would surely never be victim to such a thing. Will see if I can find a non-sun link.

What's scary is that the elevator continued even after the emergency button was pressed.

How soon until someone says, "dogs shouldn't be living in a cramped condo".

Most humans would soil themselves if that happened. I have to give her credit, she kept trying to support the dogs weight while she worked the leash.

Terrifying, but you have to be really careful with objects around your neck and hanging loose.

If you look it up in Youtube, this sort of thing seems to happen a lot.

People are idiots.

I know I'm going to come off as heartless here but under what circumstances would it seem like a good idea to let a Rottweiler walk free dragging its leash on the ground behind it? I'll bet "while walking in the common area of a condo building" isn't one of those circumstances. Hopefully this incident snaps the owner back to reality. She is lucky her dog was not killed by her negligence.

So what part of this Sliver thanking? Out of control dog? Check. Inconsiderate owner? Check. Possible dead dog? Check.

Although I wouldn't recommend it, I'll admit to having let my dog's leash drag momentarily on a rare occasion. Sometimes you're carrying a lot of stuff, plus she had two dogs with her, which she wasn't used to. The leash probably dropped, she knew that the dog would follow closely anyway, so she thought "I'll just pick it up in a second".

Not saying it is a good thing to do, but humans make mistakes and we can't all be prefect all of the time.
