I think the OP should have had that against the Oilerz. Haha
Still laughing about that and goal-a.

The 44th one goal game this year. If you get half those loses that as wins your up in points with the ducks in standings.

Colborne and Monohan on the cycle was unreal for rookies tonight. They hit the gym and feed the right proteins in their meals . man they will be a Perry getzlaf type combo.

That was a good game. Too bad we lost but late in the game but no biggies.
Ducks overall defense was actually pretty good as they didn't give the Flames a lot of room to shoot out there. Cammy, Hudler, Monahan, Colborne and even Glencross didn't get a lot of room to shoot because Ducks was all over them.
Love that Big Ern scored a goal. The 4th line actually played well considering they didn't get as much ice time the others.

Ok, the Flames battled hard and they really could have won, given a bounce or two..or maybe a few seconds at the end!! ?
Anyway, it was a fight right to the end. I'm proud of our boys!!

That was a very good game to watch. The Flames have more skill than they are credited. Loved the tribute to Teemu. Thought the Backlund line was stellar. This group has me believing. GO FLAMES GO!

I don't think the Ducks are deep enough to go far anyways. Kings or Blues would be where my money's at in the west. Boston in the east, because let's face it, not one over there can hold a match to that team.

Thoughts on the game:
1. Backlund wins big face-offs.. has definitely improved his game there (except for the very last face-off).
2. Didn't really notice Monahan.. maybe it's just me.
3. Wotherspoon needs some more work, I think. He lost some key puck battles and was sometimes slow to make a decision. Also, some of his decision makings were not the best (i.e.: staying too low and not pressuring Cogliano). HOWEVER, this kid is going to be good in a few seasons.
4. Brodie looks so calm out on the ice.. his skating is very majestic lol

A valiant effort and I am pleased.
Was nice to see Teemu one last time.

They can hit the gym a lot and eat mounds of protein but they won't become Getzlaf and Perry. Why can't they just be a great Monohan and Colborne?

Boudreau is a good coach. I know along with everybody that they are a very good team, but he wraps it all together and matches lines nicely. Too bad for Washington he didn't stay. Nothing has really changed over there.
Things have changed in Anaheim.

Can we just skip the offseason and get to next season's training camp? The wait will be tough knowing how well these kids are progressing. With other coaches and analysts saying that the rebuild looks to be a short one here, it's getting me pumped for the near future of the team.
(Bet they can't say the same thing in Edmonsuck)

One thing that keeps sticking for me is that idea of an identity. Its come up a couple times on the broadcast lately and a lot of opposing fans are seeing it too. This team is hard to play against.
Reminds me so much of the 2004 season. No matter the team, no matter the game, you want to come into our barn and steal two points, you damn well better be ready to work for it.
Win or lose that is a team I can get behind. Add a couple high end players into that team mentality and we have a lot to look forward to. Go Flames Go!

Grats scored.
Close 1 goal game.
Gave an elite team a run for their money.
Overall quite satisfied.

Very entertaining hockey game. Slowly but surely, with each solid effort, the crowd is getting louder and louder and really starting to get behind this team. Fun to be at the dome again
