Tyler Wotherspoon Makes Me So Happy
Hot damn, this kid is blowing my socks off. I think this spells the end of Chris Butler in Calgary.

Yep, BUtler can move on. Wotherspoon is a keeper. And this is only the beginning!

Butler has been very good as well. I'd bring him back

While I don't care if butler is gone. I rather Wotherspoon spells the end of Wideman.

He's been pretty much exactly what everyone was hoping he'd be. A solid defender on a lower pairing who plays a quiet game and just gets it done.
In your face Tom.

I think he could end up being a good top 4

I just don't think there's room. Wotherspoon has made a huge impression on me.

Thank you for not starting this thread as "Tyler Fricken Wortherspoon" Seriously... Thank You! And yes he has been awesome so far, can't wait to see what he can do with a few more games under his belt.

Yeah I think so too. I was mentioning in that waiver eligible thread that I would like to pick up Depres, because I could see that forming into a nice second pairing in time.

Brodie Gio
Russell Wotherspoon
Smid Butler
Or if Wideman isn't moved you still have 7. Not sure if any other D are knocking on the door. Unless the Flames land Ekblad

That'll be Seiloffs spot. Or some sort of RH D man from UFA or trade or Drafting (Honka and McKeown are pretty decent I hear)

Sieloff has a tough road ahead of him...after his issues this season.

Sieloff has lost his entire year and would be jumping directly from junior. Has any dman gone from junior directly to the nhl with a lost season in between?

Reminds me of Marc Edward Vlasic a bit. Not a lot of flash a solid player with quiet offense who is a steadying presence in the back end. I think we got ourselves a winner.

Had an idea!
Seiloff will progress faster than people expect. He'd be up with the big club already IMO if not for his injury/sickness.

Oh I don't mean next year. They need Widemans shot next year. Wotherspoon replaces Butler and Seiloff or another replaces Wideman when either he gets traded or turns UFA.

Yeah Sieloff will have to spend a year catching up. I expect the Flames to try and make some big contract offers to try and reach the cap floor. Hence why Butler might be out unless Wideman goes, but again.. Floor.
