Gotta love how hard the Flames have been competing against some of these elite teams. I love it. We may not have the skill yet, and we're a ways off from being a playoff team. But the work ethic and compete level with this team is amazing. And I love watching them out-skate and out-work some of these Cup contenders. With some more top end talent and a bit more muscle, these guys are gonna be dangerous.

McGratton now setting a career high for goals (4) and increasing his career high points to 7. Previous highs were 3 (last season) and 5 (rookie season in Ottawa)
Westgarth sets a career high with 5 points, and more impressive is the fact he is a 0 +/- for the season (with the Flames at least) with the McGratton goal.

Just imagine if Hartley is successful in turning McGrattan into a true power forward, like he was in jrs.
He'd be almost unstoppable

Butler has quietly had a solid second half to the season. Don't notice him a lot, which is a good thing in his case.

I seriously believe the Flames found Ramo in an alley somewhere and pay him in liquor. He's way too entertaining to watch.

Dude, chill. McGrattan was never a true power forward, even in junior. He'll be 33 when next season starts too.
Love how he's turned his life and career around though and obviously love the player. Always good to have a goon that can actually skate and play the game. Don't want this post to come across as anti-McGrattan so had to add this piece... but he is what he is at this point.

actually unbeleivable, I never thought he'd be even a serviceable player. I was his biggest critic, wanted him canned but I'm really shocked that some how Hartley turned one of the worst players in the NHL into average.
