Got the knod for best man for my best buddies wedding, and the guys have decided to go to Kelowna for the trip. I'm trying to figure out the best bets for the day kind of thing, we are flying in May 10th so weather should be decent. I am asking for some suggestions from you guys for where to go / things to do and stuff, first time ever planning something like this, and even going to a bachelor party (buddy that's getting married is 22, I'm 23).
Ideas we have right now are:
1. Go to a gun range right when we fly in the morning (any ideas where to go?)
2. From there go golfing / bbq lunch
3. Boating possibly
4. Go for dinner or Have a BBQ
5. Strippers or somewhere
Don't really know to much about the Kelowna area except for nightclubs pretty much so any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
a gun range.... the only one that comes to mind is the fish and game club. i have no clue if anyone can just walk in and shoot or if you need to be a member. their webpage is: http://kdfgc.org/
golfing - take your pick... tons of courses around for lots of different skill levels
boating - i'm pretty sure you can rent a boat in town, but i think you'll need a watercraft license in order to do so
what are you thinking for dinner?? there are tons of great restaurants (not to mention amazing food at some of the wineries)
peeler bar... sorry, don't really know of anything downtown. there is the cadillac lounge at hwy33 and rutland road.... but it's one those places that the guys on my hockey team are always making fun of, so take that for what it's worth
i hear there is a pretty sweet flames games room in kelowna too
When I went to Kelowna a few years ago, there were lots of companies that you could get boat tours from. I'm sure if you called a couple and told them what you wanted they could accommodate a few hours on the lake for you.
A simple Google search brings up numerous companies.

My only thing would be don't try to cram too much into the day.
Planned a similar stag for a buddy and after we traveled, then went white water rafting, played 18 holes of golf, that once dinner was over we were all zombies when it was time to go out that night.
Went on a rugby tour an stayed there in 96 (?). We were on the 2nd floor and the Hell's Angels were on the 3rd floor. My buddy tried to convince me to go with him for drinks with them...........when the rest of the night panned out I am glad I didn't.
As for boating suggestions - it is kind of early in the year for boating, even in Kelowna. I am not sure how much fun it would be if you can't jump in the water unless you're in a wet suit.
I would hit up as many wineries as you can. I am not sure if there are any tours that will take you to all of the places, so you don't have to worry about getting too imbibed by the wine samples.
Fishing might be a good - I've done camping up at Dee Lake, they have a good stocks of rainbow trout, camping spots / cabins, canoe rentals, etc.
Malibu or Scandia might be places to try for batting cages, go-carting, etc.
There was a good putting course on the West Side of the lake just as you cross the bridge, but I don't know if that is still there. It's basically a pitch and putt course, good if you don't want to spend the whole day at the golf course.
There are decent restaurants in Kelowna, but its hard to recommend unless you know what mood you're in, eg) sports bar or fine dining.
Do a bunch of 22/23 year old guys really want to sip wine all day for a bachelor party? Based on the first post they'd probably have a better time finding a great pub after a round of golf in the afternoon.

22/23 year old bachelor party? why aren't you going to vegas? the heck with Kelowna
Unfortunately the groom is not allowed into the US haha, so that's why Vegas was out of the question. Yeah the wineries i'm not to sure about, none of us are really picky eaters either. As for the shooting range will probably cut that out, and just skip straight to Golf first in the morning, any ranges you guys suggest?

Then go to Montreal it poops all over Kelowna when it comes to a good time.
I agree with many, the wine sipping tour for 22/23 yr olds would get real old quick.
I also feel the gun range would be a waste of time and money.
Do something where everyone can interact with the man to be. Golf is a great idea IMO, find a dinky little course that you can have a little more fun on. Create a bunch of drinking games while golfing. Set up groups of 3 and have the man to be shuffle back every few holes so he plays with everyone! Rent a place close to the beach for everyone to stay in. Most likely be similar cost as renting numerous hotel rooms.
Im in charge of planning a bachelor party in May for one of my best buddies. Age group is 26-29 and the biggest challenge of all isn't coming up with ideas but keeping everyone on the same budget!

Also an FYI, if you have guys in your group that can't go to the US, it's possible they can't be in possession of firearms.
Again that's possible (not necessarily probable) so if you're thinking of going to a shooting range be sure that there aren't conditions in place that could have some negative ramifications.
