The Stars beat the Jets 2-1 in reg time. The Jets were pouring it on couldn't get the tying goal behind Lehtonen who was the 1st star. Blake Wheeler crashed into the Stars bench gate because it wasn't closed properly, ouch. The Rangers get a 4-3 OT win and the Coyotes had Mike Smith pulled from the game due to a leg injury. The Rangers are now 2nd in their divison because the Flyers lost 3-2 to the Kings in reg time. Dwight King scored the GWG and Emery faced 41 shots in the loss. The Habs and Bruins game was excellent as it had a playoff feel, Habs win 2-1 in the SO. The Senators win 4-3 in the SO over the Bolts.
They were already out... any combination of 2 points won by Phoenix or lost by Edmonton on Saturday eliminated them from the playoffs.
Phoenix lost, so it was up to Edmonton to get at least 1 point against the Flames to keep themselves mathematically alive.
