I really hope Terminus pans out, as for how much they've been hyping it in the second half of the season it could very well be a last hope for the show itself (not just the survivors). This better not just be Woodbury 2.0 on a bigger scale, as that didn't work out too well the first time. If season four is going to take place entirely in Terminus then they need to find ways to make it compelling. This means not just one or two crazy guys like The Governor, but instead a whole town of cannibals or hunters bent on taking survivors out. Give us a full episode of Darryl's new group being hunted (or the huntees) against the people in Terminus, something like that.
I am not sure how far AMC will let them go, but last weeks episode was pretty dark, and they've had bleaker episodes in the past, so I expect they head back in that direction next week. I still wish they'd find a reason to head to a the city, as I think that would make for a more interesting environment, but a town full of twisted people would be a move in the right direction. In the first couple seasons the show had more of a "horror-like" atmosphere which I much preferred to what they are doing now, where now we only get that in small doses (the tunnel or the mist).
I honestly think the reason they avoid big cities is entirely because of cost, which is why they've always stuck to the countryside or small towns. I know they're only following what happens in the comics, but that's probably because the show is forcing the comics to go in that direction (not the other way around). But considering the shows popularity I would hope they would up the budget in maybe season 5. Just consider how cheaply made the second half of the season must have been. I know they have to pay salaries of an expanded cast, but aside from that they are really only paying for makeup effects, and designing small sets. So next season I hope they kill off a good chunk of the survivors, and then show us what's happening in a larger landscape.

They avoid big cities I would imagine due to population. Look what happened in Atlanta. They certainly don't want to go back to a big city like that.
And next season is season 5.

Well they can obviously make up a reason for them to head to a big city. Maybe that will be near the end of the series, but they can say they've found a cure, or found salvation, anything like that. Who knows what is happening in big cities now anyway. Perhaps a few of them have been cleared out of walkers, and there would be a better chance of surviving there now. The first few episodes in Atlanta occurred right after the outbreak, and surely a lot has changed since then. Maybe I am just sick and tired of them strolling around the woods, as the setting hasn't really changed in 4 full seasons now. Even when they were in the prison a lot of the episode was them walking around the woods as they were often engaged in the Woodbury plot.

Well, I've been married twice.

thought there'd be more comments on Daryl and his new Mad Max/Thunderdome posse, since I enjoyed those parts more than the Glenn tunnel of doom. it's almost like that lead guy is the replacement for his lost big brother. but now that they're hunting Rick, how's he's gonna resolve that? he's down to like 2 good arrows.
my favorite part was when he was trying to decide whether to cover up the body of the rabbit stealer, and then was like "eh, screw it..."

They're hunting Rick? I get that they are just behind him, but why do you say they are hunting him. Did I miss something?
Now that I think about that one guy did say something that I didn't quite catch near the end when we saw the candy bar wrapper. Still, hunting?

Missed something? Like the last scene between Darryl and Joe.
He describes the house/walker incident with Rick, and says that one of can ID him. He says something along the lines of "he ran away, we tracked him and he seems to be going to this Terminus, and now so are we".
Pretty clear. What was not clear is if Darryl put together that it was Rick et al.

Ohhh! Those were the same guys in the house. I gotcha.
Yeah, that's right, as they were going from room to room they were all 'claimed!' 'claimed!'
Wow, totally missed that. I got that they were mad at someone, and heard that they were tracking him, but didn't realize it was Rick based form that episode.
Thanks man.

He said Rick strangled one of them and left him to turn so he could attack the group.

Learned from Talking Dead:
Quote:
The history of Atlanta dates back to 1836, when Georgia decided to build a railroad to the U.S. Midwest and a location was chosen to be the line's terminus. The stake marking the founding of "Terminus" was driven into the ground in 1837 (called the Zero Mile Post).

From a narrative point of view, the show isn't ending any time soon, so we are left guessing in what way is Terminus all messed up?
I'm guessing there is some sort of cult that one must swear allegiance to, or you know, be killed or whatnot. Religion hasn't been a big theme yet, so, it's probably time. Also, Beth was captured in a hearse or something? So maybe the Terminus cult was behind that as well.
It would be interesting to see the group held as captives and plot an escape. Maybe some of the group are undiscovered, and hide in the shadows. Lots of possibilities.
Also, isn't it about time for another death? I don't really see any of the major characters eating it at this point, and some of the minor characters are too insignificant for their deaths to make a big impact (e.g. Bob).

I think Daryl has picked up that they are tracking Rick. I think he picked up on the candy bar wrapper and attributed it to Carl.

Did he use the name Rick?
I thought he used generic terms.
I don't recall that.

All he said was some guy hiding in the house strangled (forget the name) and left him to turn on us.
I also hope they do go back into a major city at some point. Would have to be a finale or something as the budget would have to be enourmous.
Somone mentioned the camo they used in the first season, maybe that will be their ticket for moving around the city. I would imagine most of the survivors would also avoid the cities so I'd bet there would be a gold mine of supplies in Atlanta still.

I seem to recall in earlier seasons the characters talking about specifically avoiding large urban areas, due to the concentration of walkers.

I think it's obvious Terminus isn't going to be what the group(s) think it is. It'd be so much better if it actually was a legit safe haven.
