This is awesome. Go Quebec Liberal Party!!!

I really hate the separation talk. Quebec is part of Canada. Canada is not Canada without Quebec.

That's how I feel. Yes I was born and raised in Calgary.

Agree 100%. I was born and raised in Northeastern BC, had a hell of a time learning French in school and had never set foot there til a few years ago on some courses for work but I personally feel Quebec is as much as a part of Canada as a any other part.

Just got back from Montreal earlier this evening, what a mess the infrastructure is in that province. It begs the question where does the money go? The levels of corruption must go beyond the construction industry. We drove to Ottawa for a couple days and I was amazed how different the road quality is once you cross the provincial markers. Every road in Montreal is potholed to embarrassing levels and the bridges and overpasses remind me of Detroit's crumbling freeway. Even Trudeau airport looks like it's falling apart and it was much more chaotic than most airports. The graffiti in Montreal is terrible, people's homes and historic buildings tagged with garbage that looks like it's been around a while. Overall the city and province is extremely interesting, but it looks like it's on the decline from an outsider's perspective.

All you have to do is limit the amount of non-francophone voters to get what you want...

Watching them implode is, of course, hilarious.

I don't even know what that article is trying to say. Don't get me wrong, I like seeing Marios with egg on her face, but I don't know how that can be considered reporting or journalism. There's nothing in there about Ontario students.

Typical Sun, bad photo out of context, and misleading title coupled with an article that doesn't really say anything.

But am very happy to hear they are continuing to slide in the polls. Writing a real story might have been more powerful than that mess.

except for

Quote:
"This next week is a very important one for democracy in Quebec," PQ Justice Minister Bertrand St-Arnaud said at a Sunday news conference. "Will this election be stolen by people from Ontario and the rest of Canada?"
The PQ has demanded that Quebec's chief electoral officer look into what it claims are disproportionate numbers of anglophones and allophones registering to vote in what the PQ considers traditionally francophone ridings.

Election office responds with a "yer full a crap"

Also Quebec election officials denying the right to vote to one student who has lived in Quebec since 2008 and even voted there during a federal election

It's simply an empty statement with no facts or explanation. If it's true or important tell us more about it. It's just a one liner. Anyone can write that.

Aliens May be Responsible for the Recent Light over Eastern Canada.

Blah blah blah... 'But some believe that aliens were responsible for the recent explosion in the sky in Eastern Canada'.

See easy.

So it seems like the PQ are hoping to increase their chances of winning by:

A. Hoping that some election officers (who are PQ supporters perhaps?) will make it difficult for student non-francophones to vote (assuming that the non-francophone vote will support other parties than the PQ?).

B. Raise the hue and cry that non-Quebecers are trying to hi-jack the election.

By hoping for A they decrease support for other parties than the PQ (hopefully). By doing B they increase the PQ vote (hopefully).

Nothing like a little fear mongering to swing some more votes your way.

Newest polls show that if the election were held today the PQ party would be going down in flames to the Liberals who would gain a majority

http://www.threehundredeight.com/p/quebec.html

Now I don't put much stock into polls anymore after the Alberta and BC elections, but the Quebec Election could become one of the biggest political blunders in this nations history.

It's getting closer again though. Need Madam Marois to put her foot in her mouth again.

I wish to know what this other party stands for and how it can be ahead of the Green Party in Quebec.

They are followers of Jacob and only wish to protect the Island against any threat at all costs, and to disprove the Man in Black's ideology.

Quebec Solidaire "is a left-wing social democratic and sovereigntist political party"

That's basically like Quebecer Poli-porn.
