Iggy's line is the best in hockey right now. Bar none.

I love that Iggy is still ripping it up at 36. Truly an elite player of his generation.

Just in time to win the Cup back here in the Mark Recchi veteran role.
Of course, if that happened, Gio would probably refuse to wear the C with Iggy on the team, and Iggy would refuse to take the C from Gio, so there would be a season-long stalemate and there wouldn't be anyone to accept the Cup from Bettman, and it would somehow end up being Peplinski in his underwear again.

Today was a good day to be a Flames fan! So excited when Iggy got his goals to specifically keep Boston on their undefeated streak! Couldn't ask for mor.... when is spring coming?

Sadly (and gladly) this flames team would be....wait for it....right in the middle of a playoff race right now (ahead of the Canucks).
But nowhere near a cup.
Happy for Jarome. Happy for the Flames. May they both be together (with a cup) in the future.

Can we change the thread title to "will he hit 40"?
He does have 11 goals in his last 12 games.

While I agree, I would wait until he actually hits 30. I, like most hockey players am very superstitious.

Iggy is on fire for sure. Everything is going his way right now, and the Bruins are reaping the benefits that the Flames did for years. Only difference is Iggy is not the only one going, the whole Bruins team is going.
I just really enjoy watching his line and his game right now. He got hit pretty hard yesterday, making the play the get the puck out of the zone, and took a pretty big hit. I love the emotion Iggy has and has always had. He tried to Fight Eckman Larson but he wouldnt go. Iginla did not take a penalty on the play either. Anyways Iginla is a beauty.

He's a smart man. He's changing to suit the situation. He may not be the quintessential power forward any longer, due to the toll the body pays by playing this game as long as he has, but he's concentrated on other areas to make himself just as valuable a player now. He's still value for the money.

Seems like a few of the iginla haters that tried to destroy everything he did in Calgary are missing from this thread which isn't surprising.

He's on a one year deal, right? Any idea what he gets on his next contract? Think he stays with the B's?

4yr-20M I bet. It's a 35+ contract, so he counts against the cap no matter what, even if he retires

From all accounts he's loving it in Boston. I wouldn't be surprised to see him sign a 2 year 12.5 million dollar contract.
Selfishly if he wins the cup this year, I hope he only signs a 1 year deal with Boston and then comes back to Calgary.
