Given GP Matt was revealed as a cop, I went through his post history but didn't find any hints of possible Mafia which is too bad.

Funny thing is maybe he investigated Timbo because he was pushing hard to lynch Timbo which eventually lead to us getting him.

Or we could hold undt to me as da suspected but not proven mafia, and go after da more sure thing yeah.

I mean I've played undt honest game neicht? Do you wish to take a chance on voting out da only player that's given ze lame name and ist probably playing honest while ze scum managers giggle behind youts back.

I've gotta go back to my gut feeling and

vote octothorp

There was a clear management voting block on day 1 and I truly believe that there were at least 3 management targeting Blaster on day one. We know drake and regulator were involved, and I don't think that was coincidence.

I had my hunch early on that octothorp was part of that block so I went back through his posts.

This post from when we were revealing who we are stands out for me:

Quote:

I'm Shea Weber.

This is a great strategy, Management would presumably need to lie and pretend to be players. Meaning that they risk the chance of being called out on a duplicate identity if they declare early. So they'll need to wait and see what they declare. Keep in mind, there's also the possibility that some people are players currently working for management.

Of course, after reading this, management could declare identities early, meaning more chance of catching them in a lie. Can anyone think of a downside to us revealing our identities?

Even though I'm currently voting for him, I have to strongly doubt blaster86 is management, based on recent posts. Strongly contemplating changing my vote.

now, consider that he's management and posting this. It makes complete sense. He's a player that is with the NHL, so this is a perfect window to reveal his identity. The players do not know that management can have player names... yet. So this is a safe post. He gets to appear as a player and fade into the noise while we bicker about who to knock off.

He also sits on the fence in two spots here... one regarding his vote and one when he says "there's also the possibility that some people are players currently working for management."

My gut feeling is that octothorp isn't management, but there really isn't much to go on either way. My instinct is that CaptainCrunch is not Mafia either, and thus the easiest target for both sides. Even if he is Mafia, it seems he's on borrowed time.

Too bad it's the weekend, this thread needs more posts.

Then why is he still acting weird and not trying to get us to believe he is a player? He sure is acting damn strange to me. So Lego, the majority of us have suspicions on CC but you are saying he is not mafia. The other guy being mentioned as a possibility is octothorp and you are saying he is not scum either. So what in the hell are you then because that strikes me as pretty strange.

Well that's two people out of how many? Odds are they aren't Mafia, and we are all sharing our gut feelings so take that or what it's worth. My gut could be wrong, and that wouldn't prove that I'm a player or not.

I know that CaptainCrunch is acting weird, but if he really was Mafia I think he would have worked harder from the beginning of the game to act like normal CC. The fact that he had a different posting style from the get go tells me he didn't want to side so quickly with the players, because lets face it: the players that we all knew were players ended up dead.

Then again CaptainCrunch could be bluffing my entire theory and is Mafia all along. He might have assumed what I assumed and acted accordingly.

I think there are bigger fish to fry than CaptainCrunch right now.

Note: When I said odds are they aren't Mafia, I meant that in a purely statistical sense - for arguments sake.

Huntingwhale declared himself as Patrick Kane. He voted for my predecessor a couple times then voted for Timbo when he was booted. For that vote, he declared in the morning he was leaning Timbo and in the evening actually voted as the second last vote needed for an autolynch.

He is very inactive and gave the reason as being out of town "last week".

I could see myself voting for him based on an unenviable voting record. I don't blame him for putting the vote towards my predecessor, but more investigation may reveal it was an attempt to get the rest away from Drake and Regulator, also low volume posters.

CC is hard to read for sure, voting Huntingwhale and if he's actually management, that would be a shocker. CC could be a serial killer but the reason I think not is the SK would at this stage be able to align with the players without worries that he's hurting himself long terms, and CC has been more equivocal than that.

This is tough. I would vote for Huntingwhale. I would vote for CC still. I have considered octothorpe but something he did (and I'm going to go back and look closer) pulled me back. I'd consider it.

Huntingwhale also commented that a mafia member would have no issues throwing another under the bus to save their own bacon. Could CC be doing just that, and doing it to punish Huntingwhale for that comment?

Early in the game I could see them doing that for the greater good, but we've lynched three straight Mafia guys and someone earlier was saying there's likely 5-7 of them in total so I don't think they do this anymore.

If the guess is correct, we have anywhere from 2-4 Mafia guys left.

Activestick makes that post, and pm's someone 3 minutes later.

He's probably now my leading candidate. I see no reason for him to be pming based on his forum history.

Well I'm on Tapatalk and just bouncing from this thread to the OOT scoreboard thread and I commented on Bourque's uselessness... I definitely was not PM-ing though - the last time I PM'd was weeks ago to ask Mazrim a question.
