This has to be right up there as the biggest upset in tournament history. Mercer essentially won a road game today. Most 14 or 15s have full crowd support. This game was like 20 miles from Duke campus. Amazing win for Mercer.

Frustrated more than anything. It is one thing to run I to a good team playing well that has your number but for them to come out and play so stupid and give the way away was brutal.
As I said earlier in the year I am losing my interest in NCAA basketball recently . Maybe because of the one and dones meaning there aren't any great teams anymore and it seems like a crap shoot and who gets hot but I would have been pissed for the rest of the day a few years ago now I shrug my shoulders and ignore NCAA until next year.

moon you do realize the last two tournament winners were the favourites (Kentucky and Louisville) going in, right? The fact there are more upsets in the early rounds, particularly more 13 and lower seeds winning, has to do with them being senior laden teams playing "teams" like Duke who are mostly comprised of one and done guys or guys who will play 2 years at most. Duke's last national title was a senior heavy team, no coincidence.

Your over-rated team with their classless and over the hill coach gets exposed for being what they are, so now the whole NCAA is boring and sucks and you are taking your ball and going home?

Nope my deservingly top 15 team with the greatest college coach of all time laid an egg and I am not all that interested in what happens with the rest of tournament so I am not watching any more.

Duke beat themselves. Mercer is crap, and their fans are scumbags.

The stacking of the Midwest to prevent Wichita State from getting back to the Final Four theory is starting to look a little flawed.
Did anyone catch the Manhattan/Louisville game last night? Louisville was AWFUL. Particularly Russ Smith, who played out of control on the drive, took terrible shots and commited stupid foul after stupid foul. How that guy was a Naismith finalist is a mystery to me. He's still Russdiculous. Louisville looked like an 8 seed not a 1, so maybe they were properly seeded. I mean, it's not like Manhattan played a flawless game either. They turned the ball over ad nauseum, especially in the first half.
Now Duke is out. Louisville will be playing a Tennessee team that is fully capable of beating them and overseeded Michigan will have a tough game tomorrow against the Longhorns. I'm feeling more and more confident that the Shockers can win this regional.
Can't wait for the game tonight and will have my eyes glued to K-State/Kentucky as well, which I think could go either way.

How can Charles Barkley be in every single commercial during breaks? That guy must have one hell of an agent.

They get St Louis tomorrow. Louisville was lousy. Russ was lousy. Not sure we should expect both of those things to continue.

Right. I don't expect either to continue either, but great point guards don't make those kinds of decisions. I'm just not convinced he's the player the heads think he is.
Man, Hancock has ice in his veins though. Single handedly won them the game last night....as well as the game against Wichita State in last year's Final Four.

Well, with New Mexico deciding not to show up for the first 10 minutes of their game today, my money bracket is officially screwed. $850 bye bye. Maybe I'll get last and get my $10 back. Everyone in the pool is from Kansas so I went with the strategy of taking KU and WSU out of the bracket fairly early. I had New Mexico in the Elite 8 (Duke too, but so did a lot of people).
There's always next year.

All of a sudden Creighton in some trouble. Could be a banner day for 14 seeds.

We'll see how the second half goes, but if Coastal Carolina can keep it up, we might have a first 16 over 1 seed. Quite a game if anyone isn't watching, might be worth flipping it on. CC is up 35-30 over Virginia.
Virginia is probably getting the paint peeled from the dressing room walls right now.

Nah, Tony Bennett will just be telling them that as long as their faith in Jesus stays strong they'll win.

It seems to have worked, whatever he said. Everything is going in and CC can't sink anything to save their lives.

Interesting game for Wichita State last night. A 27 point win and, frankly, the starters didn't play much. In the first half, they were flirting with the lowest score allowed in the history of the tournament. The record is 10 and Cal-Poly had 8 with less than 4 minutes to go in the half.
Early played 19 minutes and had 23 pts. Van Vleet with another stellar game and an 8.0 TO/Assist ration. Some of the bench players played a lot more minutes than they are accustomed to.
Didn't get to watch much of the Kentuck/K-State game. Looking forward to tomorrow. I think a lot of people expect Wichita State to lose still.
