It looks like the list is just the top 10 ranked players listed in alphabetical order, not number ranked.

No you made the right call, there is no good time for green text. Couple of people missing the joke > Giving the joke away before it's even made.

Kevin Hayes certainly has rallied riding the coat tails of Gaudreau and Arnold into an accolade laden season. I'm shocked people who watch a lot of college hockey didn't see right through his season. Guys that have these epic jumps in production normally do so on the backs of others or because they have been around the league for years. For Hayes, it is both. Appreciate he only played 2/3 of a season the previous year, but a 125% increase in point production and then a 400% increase in goal scoring? Obviously a great year, but how did he come to those numbers? Say hello to Johnny Hockey and Billy Arnold. Glad they are ours!

He was producing this season before he got put on the Gaudreau line. He has deserved that 1st team allstar nod. Great season for him.

yup. Was close to PPG last year, pretty similar to Arnold. Just notched it up more offensively than Arnold this year ... people might think it's only because of Gaudreau and Arnold, but I think they all benefited from each other. Just three players that really clicked on a line together.

To add to the last couple of posts, Hayes took a step forward last year, and a bit one this year before being moved up. Gaudreau and Arnold were both petitioning York to allow them all to play together, but York was hesitant at first - he wanted to spread out the talent a bit more on the lines, and thought Hayes was doing very well there.
Hayes is a legitimate prospect with upside all on his own. That line has created some nice synergy, but I don't really think any single player on that line is 'carrying' it. They all contribute in a very balanced and lethal way (at least at the NCAA level), and everyone on that line is getting their stats 'padded' because of the other two.

It is simply one of those lines that has so much synergy.

Are you gonna credit his brother's 9 NHL goals to Gaudreau and Arnold too? Let's face it, the Hayes brothers have some talent themselves. Seems kind of silly to credit his good season to our prospects and give none of it to him. He's a solid prospect in his own right.
