No, I am not really a supporter of any political party, actually I likely would vote Liberal if it wasn't for their leader. As for criticizing the WR, when literally copying and pasting the information on their website is viewed as a criticism, you may have bigger problems.

Redford is done as premier, nightmare to Wildrose.

A campaign of broken promises, vote buying and fear mongering did her in. Now that the PC's have ticked off teachers, health care workers and labour unions in general, I wouldn't be counting on their support next election. You can only fool people once.

I should have said "defender" rather than "supporter", but my point stands. You're attacking Wildrose because they are currently the favourite to form the next government. It really isn't different than Wildrose attacking the PCs because they form the current government.

I'm not even saying there is anything wrong with your arguments - like I said, this is politics as usual. Every side seeks to knock the one at the top off their perch. But it is easy to see in most of these threads where the tone changes, and who is usually knee deep in changing it.

Incidentally, I went looking for the PC policy on their website. This is the best I could do on a quick search: https://www.pcalberta.org/about/stat...of-principles/

I'm asking how the Wildrose proposes we pay it off. No one seems to be able to answer that.

The Wildrose is ahead in the polls now but they probably win easily with Redford as premier. Now the PCs still have to choose a good leader to right the ship, but if they do they'll be in good shape. 2 years is a long while.

The entitlements that you keep referring to are the smallest of potatoes, so much so that even an Irishman would omit them from the stew.

In the same way, I can't find any answers as to how the PC party plans to pay off the debt other than borrowing money year and year to fund projects and making budgets so complicated that nobody can decifer what is a true surplus or debt.

Where there's smoke there's usually fire. If Redford can spend recklessly as our former premier did you can be sure others in the party are doing the same. Handing out flood contracts to Tervita without a tendering process for starters. Lavish severence packages to former govt workers.

Did you not get a government sponsored basement? If you want to talk about government spending, will you be donating that money back to the province?

In times of disaster I don't think there's time to do three bids and a buy.

Didn't take any govt money and I know many residents here gave thier checks back. Two people I know of got cheques for $55 and $85 respectively - talk about an insult. Many others here haven't received a dime and have given up on the process and an answer from the DRP program. Even the people here in the local office haven't a clue when residents might get a response. Redford promised in the beginning that the process would be quick - larf!

I'm not surprised, High River did vote for Danielle Smith.

Maybe not but I could I tell you horror stories of how Tervita has waisted money here in High River for some of the work they have done and the way they do things. Many residents here share my opinion of Tervita and are not very happy.

Some examples....

Remediating homes and then turning around and saying houses should be torn down. Instead of removing silt from some back allies they put gravel on top making the lanes higher causing spring melt to flood resident garages these past few weeks. Thta's just some of the problems.

Smith has done a lot of advocating and good things for residents but you'd never hear that from Redford. Just the old and tired speech of Smith trying to politicise everything and bad mothing the RCMP who never do anything wrong. The PC's don't have any hope of winning this riding
