Points from Brodie, Backlund, Monahan, Colborne, and Byron.

Not bad.

Paul Byron looked like Pavel Bure.

You'd have to think Hanowski will be headed back to Abbotsford tomorrow. Did he play a shift after that give away?

He played 4:58 which was the least on the team and was one of two players (Westgarth was the other) who didn't hit 10 minutes of ice time. Also the only minus player. I think you're right, he's Abbotsford bound sooner rather than later.

Holy ####, can Byron skate or what? Great hands at that speed too. He probably enjoyed that one.

Very certain Burke will want to keep Byron around, prime example every game night on how a little guy in the NHL plays big hockey.

Said it earlier.

The Buffalo Sabres are a terrible hockey club.

Ortio = 4
McBackup = 4
Irving = 3
Sauve = 3
McLenanan = 3
Cujo = 3

The Sabres aren't just terrible, they are a joke and should be relegated to the AHL. The Flames are going through a rebuild of their own and at least the expectation is to take pride from the top down.

Pure speculation on my part, but I can see Lafontaine wanting more fight and bite from the top down and was told to stop working so hard because he's going to make the rest of the organization look bad.

I saw "dumpster fire" and was confused. They don't play the Oilers 'til Saturday.
