Next up, Culkin, Gaudreau and Arnold. Get those three inked and I'll be a happy fan.
Going to be tons of competition next season for farm spots and NHL spots. Glad they're signing their draft picks.

I can't see them throwing a 20 year-old d-man to the wolves in the NHL like that, and he'd benefit greatly from the time with the Heat.
I guess we'll see when the Giants' season ends.

I agree... makes no sense otherwise. There's no way he's ready for the NHL at this point.

Pretty sure his contract won't start until the fall, so he can sign a ATO contract with the Heat.

Nice. 4th in points on the Giants, and only 4 away from the top. If he can transition to pro hockey and fill out nicely, he'll be a stud.

Would be a lot more at ease about NCAA prospects not jumping ship if the Flames can get Johnny and Arnold to forgo their Sr year.
Gillies next after that.
As for Kulak i am only luke warm on how he will translate over to the NHL game. His weight for a D man is questionable.

Excellent, hopefully Culkin gets signed as well. Gordon I don't really care either way.

Not surprised, Burke mentioned after an exhibition game between the Flames prospects and the U of C that he liked Kanzig, Ferland, and Kulak...he needed prompting on names though.

Per Flames staff, his deal begins in 14-15, so he can't come to NHL. Can go to AHL on ATO, though.

Thought for sure he would get signed. He does show a lot of promise, and did very well on the Heat late last season. Positive Culkin will get signed as well. Only question will be Gordon, who I still hope they sign.

With the Giant's season done Kulak signed a PTO with Abbotsford per the AHL transactions page:
