As per the Flames and Heat, Corban Knight has been reassigned to the Heat.

Had a good chat today with Colborne about Kyle Ostrow. Lots of positive things to say about him. He's short, but he's apparently thick and strong on his feet.

@DarrenHaynes_CP: I have confirmed with Flames Hockey Ops that indeed, Kenny Agostino CANNOT be assigned to the AHL this season and will remain with Calgary.
Will be the same story for Arnold and Gaudreau, unless they sign ATOs

That seems like a strange rule... It certainly makes it a tougher decision as to what is best for these prospects.
You'd think the atmosphere of an AHL playoff run would be very good for the development of all of these prospects, yet it's nice for them to get their first taste of NHL action so that they can experience the standard of play they need to get to.

BC going to the Frozen 4 finals may ultimately benefit the Heat as the finals are played the day before the final game of the season for the Flames.
So if BC does go to the finals then Arnold and Gaudreau will most likely sign ATOs as there will be no opportunity for them to play in the NHL.

You can only have one contract rolling at a time. If you play in the NHL, your ELC rolls (and players under ELCs can't go down after the trade deadline).
Agostino's ELC is rolling, so he can't sign an ATO. Colin Campbell's deal with the Wings isn't "active", so he was able to sign an ATO with Grand Rapids.

I wonder if Hanowski gets sent down in time to make it to Abbotsford for tomorrow's game? If he does the Heat oughta get a good boost having him, Reinhart, Knight and hopefully Baertschi back in the lineup.

I highly doubt it, but I would expect him to be in Friday against the Bulldogs. Can't wait. The Heat are starting to look like the Heat again.

The Ram? Like Karri Ramo? The guy whose been injured for the last month and a half and might need a little conditioning stint in order to get back into game shape before going back to the Flames?
The same process that's been used several times already in the NHL this year by a number of teams.

Wait, not Kari Ramo.
Apparently John Ramage has been assigned to the Alaska Aces. As well as Evan Trupp. It's listed on the AHL transaction page.
Not really an inside rumour when it's on the transaction page RFP.

Has Troy Ward ever coached a player with the initials 'RFP'?

what's the story on ramage this year? haven't heard much (which is expected with his type of play) but i'm curious with him being assigned to alaska?
is it the vets pushing him out of ice time? or him not earning it?

As for a player with those initials, no he has not. I went back to his 96-97 year and no one has those initials on any of the teams.
The only thing I can offer as a suggestion to who it is would be this:
Quote:
Former Flames prospect Ryan Howse didn’t show much class with Thursday’s reaction on Twitter to the news Feaster and assistant GM John Weisbrod had been fired. “Wow Calgary one year too late on that one if that was last year I’d be still playing hockey #zing #ilovehockeytoday #iwannacomeback”.
