I'd say that inactive players are more harmful to the villagers than the mafia/assassins are.
They never vote, never provide input and the mafia just lets them be since they are a non-factor. Offing active players offers so much more value to them.

I thought the vote on day 1 was a crap shoot. No real information out there, none.
So I had no intention of piling on someone.
I voted humorously for the most part.
Now I think we have a little information, so that's why I chose CC.
However, I did state before that I am suspicious of those who talk too much.
Nervous, guilty chatter.
So, I could easily be swayed into unvoting CC, and voting Hockeyguy15, again!

Not saying this is the case, but it is something to think about. Sometimes offence is the best defence.
As I said before I am willing to change my vote if there is a mov't with the other players in this game.
|
Again my issue with PM-ing is that management is allowed to communicate outside of the thread, and it seems most likely that it is through PM's. They can't exactly have another thread on CP and have one of us stumble onto it.
I am not the sole decider on substance, my comment was my opinion. You haven't really offered your own thoughts on much and you seem to just 'go with the flow' even though you made a big deal about civil liberties and what not before.
I'm not management, and if I get killed at some point you'll find out I have not been lying at all.

Do we specifically know that Players can't PM outside the game? It seems that what we don't know far exceeds what we do know.
The rules say:
Quote:
Absolutely NO talking about the game outside this thread unless you have been specifically told that you can. This means PMs, other forums, Skype, MSN, IRC, ICQ, you name it. Please respect this, as it ruins the game otherwise.
|
Do we know for a fact that players can't talk outside this thread? I am not sure I know that for a fact.
If I have missed something, then please let me know

I am leaning this way as I honestly am not comfortable with who to get rid of yet and if huntingwhale is doing us nothing anyhow....

I would assume that you can still use the PM system, but just can't talk about this game unless given explicit permission.
I've used the PM system to discuss trades in the CPHL.

Things are getting heated in here with potentially us players turning on each other thanks to the meddling of the management.
I find CC suspicious as well. HG15 does bring out a good point about PMing, but we have to take that with a grain of salt, since the PMing might not necessarily be linked to the game.
The usually more active posters, who are busy PMing but not posting much, might be a good start for us to lynch
The Mafia might have decided that instead of every mafia member being loud in the forum, they will just have one or two, to avoid it seeming like certain members are posting as a group.
This could also avoid or limit contradictory posts by mafia members

But my point is do we know that players can't use the PM system, perhaps some can. We really don't know.

If the common roles are being used, then Chara would have had contact with other players. He was a mason and masons have permission to talk with each other via PM.

Sorry, Chara was the tracker. Flameswin (Datsyuk) was the mason.

Yes we already know some players can communicate via PM. Flameswin and Blaster were only allowed to talk to each other.
From what I've read typically the majority of players cannot communicate outside the thread.

Ok so we know Flameswin was a player. Does that make Blaster above suspicion going forward?

So does this prove my earlier contention that Blaster is the only person to be trusted so far?

I don't think we can say that with 100% certainty here. There is an assassin about...

Wait, do we know that Blaster was able to communicate with flameswin? Where did that come up?

At this point yes I believe Blaster is a player, but that doesn't mean he gets an unconditional pass in my books.
