My understanding is that since he signed with the Flames he is not eligible for the Heat's playoff run

I am assuming Hanowski will be sent down to Abbotsford. Agostino takes his place with Knight and McGrattan or even on 3rd line duty with Stajan and Bouma/Byron.

Does not state when the contract starts though.
Is it effective immediately or a two year contract starting in 2014/2015?
Because he could sign a contract with us that starts next year and then sign a PTO with Abbotsford.

I believe he can play a combination of no more than 9 games with either Abbotsford or Calgary without Calgary losing a year towards FA.
Believe he can play for Abbotsford.

He is too old for the sliding rule regardless. He is burning a year off his contract if he plays any professional games this year.
The 10 game rule only applies to 18 or 19 year old players.

Interesting prospect for sure. Really like his speed and he's got a very nice quick wrist shot. He has the ability to only have the puck on his stick for a split second before he fires of a wrister, love seeing that.

What kind of player is he? Top 6 or bust?

No I'd say a 3rd line player with offensive flair is what he projects to be from my limited viewings.

he plays a physical game, is defensively reponsible and has some size ... pretty sure he'd survive playing in the bottom six if he didn't pan out as a top six forward.

According to CBA rule 13.12 j. Agostino cannot be loaned to Abbotsford.
Forbids any players from being loaned to a an affiliate 40 days preceeding the end of the season unless they were recalled already, or injury prevented them being assigned before the trade deadline

Lol sureloss breaks the case again. This one is even more impressive because he tracked down his cousin. Makes me wonder what kind of Intel he/she/cyborg has on us?
