Diablo III - New patch 2.1 Coming Aug 26

I just joined the CP community. So much has changed with this game since the last time I played.

Weapons and items have "primary" and "secondary" stats. Is there a difference between them since they're mentioned explicitly?

Anyone playing a Witch Doctor? Any suggestions on what build/skills are good? I saw 1 awesome Fetish build but it's really gear dependent, pretty much needed full zuni's set and some legendary helm.

Yeah, I leveled up a second Barb with Shawnski over the weekend, was super fast (and really easy early on with gems/helfire ring). Think I got to lvl 60 after about 6-7 hours around 1/2 way through Act 4.

Double XP ends on the 24th, so right before the expansion is out.

You can powerlevel in an hour.

Went from 1-60 in about 45 mins - 1 hour.

What you do is you get a lvl 60 to make a game in torment. Then you leave the game and give the lvl 1 party leader. Then they make the game in torment 2, act 3. Then the lvl 60 just does a run. I think I was 60 in 2.5 runs.

Yeah if you can get 3 other guys to help and just run T6 the XP boost is so high you will hit 60 halfway through act 1

Yeah, I saw a video of a lvl 1 guy get in a T6 game and a cursed chest, think he was lvl 60 by the time the chest timer ended.

The Hellfire ring is this crafted ring you can make. Your need to find keys and plans to open up special boss battles and when you beat them, they drop special crafting materials.

So in Act 1-3 there are special characters called key wardens that have a chance of dropping special keys. Act 4's warden drops a plan to build something called a infernal machine. Find the plan once and teach it to the blacksmith (I think you have to level up the blacksmith also).

Once you have one of each key, you can build a machine. Load up the last quest in Act 1 and smash through a hidden door behind the healer and you enter a room. In that room you can activate your machine, which opens 1 of 3 portals. Each portal is a boss fight where you fight 2 bosses and each has a chance to drop a crafting item. Get one of each material from the 3 portals and you can craft the special ring. (I think you need to buy the hellfire plan from one of the merchants, also might need your jeweler to be leveled up).

The good thing about early leveling with the ring is you get ~25% bonus xp, and 200ish of your main stat that you can use starting at level 1, so big boost early in the game.

I thought they nerfed this, but maybe that was a different chest run.

Yeah that was pre-nerf. You used to be able to go 1-60 in 15 minutes that way.

I put the last of my items up this morning.

Amazing how fast things sell when you don't bother to properly price it.

I had 3 price teirs, 50k, 250k and 1mill and would just choose one based on a rough guess.
