Kenny Agostino signs two year ELC
According to a potentially unreliable source given to sureLoss, and from an unconfirmed tweet
mat. @the_berty4 3h
My cousin is officially in the NHL watch him play Tuesday vs buffalo. He is on the Calgary flames btw.
Welcome to the C of Red, Kenny.
Confirmed by Flames twitter.

Sorry, I edited it a few times. It was supposed to say "unreliable"

If true I would love to see him in a Flames uniform straight away. I would assume he has a plan to complete his education in the near future and hope he does.

He's a senior so all he's got to do is write his tests

He's a senior, so chances are he's very close to completing his degree. If he hasn't finished his coursework already he should easily finish it in the summer.

I assumed that his final semester would run until May. I knew he was a senior.

Am I reading this right ? The tweet says he is going to play on Tuesday. That would mean he will be going for his degree in the summer.

It's been nice seeing all these new guys cycle into the lineup this season. I'm pretty excited if this is true to see how he handles the jump for his first NHL game.

Poli sci senior classes are USUALLY paper-based, so very few exams. Theoretically he could get stuff deferred, if needed.

Hopefully true. I'm intrigued by a lot of our young prospects but I feel like this kid is gonna be a huge fan favourite.

Most college athletes get a large amount of credits during summers and take bare minimum class load during seasons.

Under CBA, max deal is 3 years for ages 18-21 and 2 years for ages 22-23.
He's 22 on April 30, so signing NOW could be incentivized by some NHL cash.

If true... glad to see him get a few games with the Flames. Like to see them get a taste of the pros. Interestingly could be his trade-mate Hanowski sent down.
