How old is Beth supposed to be? She looks more age-appropriate for Carl than Daryl, but the actress herself is 28 years-old.

I believe she's supposed to be a teenager, 16 or so.

I enjoy a good cocktail now and again, but I think the last thing I would want to do in a zombie apocalypse is drink. I would want to have all my wits about me....considering, you know, zombies and whatnot. All you're really doing is marinating yourself.

After close to two years I think you'd want the opportunity to twist off every now and then. I know I would.
You'd definitely need some serious decompression time I think. Course, the way they went about it seemed rather careless.

Surprised so many here liked the episode. I thought it was pretty terrible. Took 60 minutes to tell the viewers something we already knew.....we get it, Daryl has a soft side.
What else happened in this episode? Nothing, just a waste of time.

I was also very bored; actually went to do laundry at one point and left the episode running.
I'm just not that interested in Daryl/Beth convo

Yeah in the end I wasn't overly fond of the episode at all. I would have preferred to see what happened to the people in the country club.

I think the fact that half the events of other groups aren't explained is intended to show how small a scope we have: events like Hershel's farm play out frequently and all we are being given is a single group in a small corner of the Georgia. It's quite a nice touch in my opinion as it keeps reminding us that we're just following a few survivors in a whole world of people getting by in different ways.

This is interesting, actually -- I wonder if the writers are trying to allude to some connection? Are those two deaths related somehow to some overarching villain or group?
I know this show is lazy with the writing sometimes but it would be REALLY lazy to use that same trope twice without there being some connection.

I don't mind some of these character development episodes but the problem with ones like this one with Darryl and Beth is that both actors aren't very good (Emily Kinney with some especially cringe worthy moments) and can't carry a show for a full 60 minutes. It also really hurts this show this season in that it's during the same night as True Detective as you are going from one show with top shelf acting to another which is amateur hour by comparison.

This happened in Deadwood.

It didn't hurt this show too much.
It's quite ridiculous how much people decide they want to complain about a TV show. For the viewer, this show is about fantasy and fun; nothing more. The choices the character makes are to keep the story moving. The kids being left alone gave the writers a chance to reincorporate Carol and ad more drama for us because she is with Tyreese.
This thread should be named the bitching dead.

I doubt there is a connection, and I don't think it's lazy writing. People turning on each other would be a natural course of progression imo.

If we're not watching... should we be?
Edit: Haha, sorry, wrong poster.
I dunno, this show is dropping off my radar fast.

A good episode last night. Looks like the funeral home was a trap. Interesting to see what Daryl does in this new group- looks to be a little tougher and meaner than Rick's group.
Will they make it to Terminus before the season finale?

Hard to say. I'm guessing no, it would be too fast to have a reunion as well as a cliff hanger for the end of the season.
Funny how the prison was getting old for me and I wanted something new, and now I can't wait for them to get back together

Yea making the trap in the funeral home was a nice touch, just made things a tad bit creepier. The Daryl and Beth part in this episode had me on the edge of my seat for a lot of it.. until he didn't bother checking the door before opening it. I could see the fricken' walkers heads myself before he opened it.. just seems so lax for Daryl even with the dog barking.
But anyway.. the new group looks interesting, was it the same guys that Rick ran into earlier?

Enjoyed the show.
The Trap reminded me a lot of the trap in The Road, for a second I thought they might actually come across a crawl space full of half eaten people.
I liked how the two stories in the episode mingled together when it came to the theme:
being alone
I think Terminus will be the final episode, but I reckon we only get a glimpse.
Also, Maggie is still a smoke show.
